Cartoon Basset Hound;)
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Cartoon Basset Hound Lovers! Hi residents! I found this cartoon image of a basset hound on facebook a few days ago. I thought it was tooooooooooo cute! So did several of you! I received a few e-mails today asking me about the image.
I had never seen the image before so I googled cartoon basset hounds and still could not find it. Have any of you ever seen it? If so, do you know where it came from? I think it is just darlin’!
As an added bonus while I was checking out google images this one popped up?
Why it was grouped into the search for “cartoon basset hound” I have no idea.
I love this picture. I think I will make it my wallpaper for awhile!
More loving great pictures later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
Well bummer! I was hoping he was part of a comic strip or cartoon show or something. Maybe he’s just someone’s creative art.
That cartoon basset is a character in one of Disney’s animated features, but I can’t remember which one! Love the sunrise photo, the image would make nice note cards.
I think this came from either Lady and the Tramp or All Dogs go to heaven.
Hey Cat, I googled it and I think it’s from the Great Mouse Detective! =) Havea great day!
P.S. I have to agree though he is a perfect and oh so cute Basset Hound! There isn’t enough of them in cartoons! =(
There is another one in The Aristocats I believe with a Bloodhound.
Thank you Sara and Amanda. Sara answered this via fb also. I am going to do another blog on this guy shortly. Just darlin’.

In your banner pic your lemon pup is verrry long and has a heart on her. (Guessing on the sex.) Is the heart real? And is the pup that loooong? My heart is and was owned on earth for 15 years by my Bassett, Flash. He had the profile of a Bassett Hound on his side. I have photos and will gladly send them.
The cartoon basset looks like it’s from Disney’s “The AristoCats.” The character is named Lafayette and was voiced by the late George Lindsey (AKA “Goober” from TV).
The dog is from the Disney movie “The Great Mouse Detective”. I am watching it right now, and thought it looked very similar to the basset from “The Aristocats” and the walker from “The Fox and Hound”.
