Cat’s Saturday Night Movie Pick – 4/9/11
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Cat’s Movie Pick Lovers….I sure hope you are one of those! I try hard to find the so-called “sleepers” that fall through this cracks but this pick is no sleeper! In fact the only sleepers I saw were Chaps and Emma!
Released in 1950 and is in my opinion one of the best films ever made.
An ingenue insinuates herself in to the company of an established but aging stage actress and her circle of theater friends.
I had not watched this movie for about 30 years. I was captivated as I clung to every scene, as was Emma…
3 hours of glorious cinema and Emma was a true “sleeper”!
Look at that lip! hehehe
Obviously, it was not a bumpy night for Shimlette.
More adoring every second of this movie and Shimlette later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma
Yes what a great Movie, if I am not mistaken I believe this was Marlyn Monroe first move what a great pick.
I think it was Mom. She was fantastic in this movie. Such a doll! So beautiful!
Who could watch the movie when there is such a barootiful Emmers sleeping there to watch.
Hugs
Emma is the picture of comfort. Too cute!
Looked like Emma was watching it upside down! Is that the new 3D?
I haven’t seen All About Eve in years. I am a Bette Davis fan, so I enjoy many of her pictures. I never thought of Bette Davis as beautiful, I thought of her as kind of exotic looking. I admired her courage, her involvement in World War II support and aid, and I wonder if she Joan Crawford really hated each other.
I love it when hound dog lips fall upside down!
