Daisy was helping me work in my office and I stepped out to get a FedX package.  When I got back to the office she was in this position.

I had Grandpaws coat on her to ward off a slight chill from the dog door.  Oh, the life of my co-worker.  hahaha

-20 to 60 degrees in the span of 3 days???

I actually braved the coldest day and went to a card party…

Howllow Fellow Basset Hound and doing taxes not lovers.  I am not sure anyone really loves doing taxes.  It takes Grandma, Daisy Lynn and I hours and hours and hours just to prep mine for my tax person.  It’s like performing an autopsy on your finances.  So, why am I blogging about it?  Cause I got this cute picture!!! hehehe

As you can see I tried my paw at drawing a picture of the word.  That was a challenge but I am very content with it!  😉

Howllow Fellow Basset Hound and New Word for 2019 lovers.  I love my new words and my rock collection is growing and inspiring.

This year the word is something I have no trouble with.

CONTENTMENT

If you have or have had a basset hound I am pretty sure you know the feeling of contentment.  I came up with this word because I was eavesdropping on New Years Eve.  I heard a person say that their resolution for 2019 was to be more content.  It made me think.  Can you make yourself content or is it a state of being?  Baffled and now on a mission to find out I did what one does…Google it!

I liked what someone named Siddharta said,

“Health is the most precious gain and contentment the greatest wealth”.

I would agree with that!

Can you capture contentment in a picture?

I think you can…

Just find your basset and add salt and sand.  CONTENTMENT...got it!!!

Now, let me go look for the perfect rock to add to my word collection…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and the day after lovers…Wow – can you believe that we have yet another Christmas in the books?  That makes 61 Christmases for me.  Did I spell that right?  Anyway…this one was a whirlwind.  It seems a bit odd to have Christmas on a Tuesday.  Most folks I know had to work at least a 1/2 day Monday and are back to work today as am I.

Ta Da…

Here is my 2018 Christmas Card to the #bassethoundtown residents.

Grandma took the picture on my little back porch.  I had it all decorated along with the rest of #bassethoundtown.  It looked so pretty and Grandma and I worked on it for weeks.

This is the first Christmas without our beloved cherry tree so you can actually see our home better.  We had the window boxes all decked out for the season.

About the time the decorating is done it’s time to start breaking down the set!  LOL

This one did not make the cut but I still love it…

Howllow Fellow Basset Hound and remembering me lovers!!!  Too funny – I have not been blogging as much this year and I really don’t know why.  I love it as much as ever.  I love my basset hound residents as much as ever so, I really cannot figure it out.

Daisy Lynn is doing fantastic and looking as fetching as ever in her lavender snood.  Really, it is my scarf but it looks better on her…hehehe

We have been in the full howl low day swing at #bassethoundtown and decorating like crazy people.  I will take some pictures soon.  We have added some outdoor touches that really look pretty.

OK, well, I just wanted to say hi and that I missed you all.  I will be blogging much more because I have so much in the rears.  I still have not finished our book tour trip we took in 2017.  When I last left off we were leaving Atlantic Beach, NC and heading to one of the best places on earth, the dog friendly…

Howllow Fellow Basset Hound and Falling back friends.  We never look forward to falling back in bassethoundtown well, because, it really can be quite depressing if you think about it.  To us it means winter is right around the corner.  But, trying to put our best paw forward the goal for this first fall back day was to photograph Daisy Lynn by this GORGEOUS red maple tree in our back yard.

Daisy Lynn seemed to read my mind as we began the photo shoot.  As you will see in the upcoming pictures she did exactly what I wanted her to.

Here she comes…

Daisy Lynn came right under it like Chloe used to do and let the branches tickle her back.  She was mesmerized.

It was so cute the way she stood there and posed for me but I think she was channeling Chloe…

So pretty and so many money shots I just cannot decide which one is the best…

I will see what Grandma thinks.  What do you think? What is your favorite shot of our Mayor?

For sure I am going to enter the best one in the county fair next year.  I also think that I will frame the winner.

I guess the first day of falling back is not that bad after all.  Chloesterama young drama dog made sure of it…
