This is Colby Chaps. He is Chaps’ son and lives in TX. He will be the vice mayor of bassethoundtown.com. Colby is 4 years old. His Mom told me that he recently got to friendly with a skunk. She has a mixture she likes for odor removal. It is
1qt. peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1tsp dishwashing liquid. (I would use dawn). Be very careful around the face, almost to the point of putting up with the smell if hound was sprayed in the face. Do not get near the eyes.
Give two baths the first day, and according to his Mom, the smell was mostly gone.
By the way, Colby is currently not allow to go “hunting” in the back yard after 10:00pm! More from the Vice Mayor, later…..
