UPDATE ON SHELDON!

November 8th, 2006 - 10:10 am KY Time

I heard from BHRG that Sheldon is now in a foster home. He had been at Furry Friends for two months being medically treated. His foster home has two other basset boys and Sheldon is having a blast! The adoption coordinator thinks he will find a new home quickly because he is such a sweetheart! And quite handsome I might add! Good luck big boy! Your cyber Mom, Cat… More Sheldon updates to come!

Please let me know if I have done a good job so far. Wish me luck! Chaps Rudert, Mayor of bassethoundtown.com. P.S. at least I know I will get one vote. Emma has my back!

Chaps and Emma are glad Mom is home!!!

November 6th, 2006 - 2:02 pm KY Time

Hello out there! I am home from the GA Bash and a great time was had by all. I made many friends and met many, many hounds. If you are visiting because of meeting me this weekend, please send me jpegs of your hounds via the contact page. We love to add new citizens to bassethoundtown.com. If you want to see some of the faces, (mostly hounds!) go to my Vlog and view the bash video. The great news is that Mamie, one of my charges, was adopted. Sheldon is still looking and we hope to help him along. Please, take a look at him. He is one of many that needs a good forever home.

His head is huge! He is a real lover boy and slept through the night under the covers, next to Mamie and me. Contact basset hound rescue of Georgia if you would like more information.

October 30th, 2006 - 1:01 pm KY Time

Hello fellow hound lovers! Cat here, updating my blog. Since Chaps and Emma have a cushy life I am leaving them home for the GA bash. I want to help other hounds in need get a cushy life. My friend Lisa and I have been waiting to hear who we will pick up from Furry Friends animal shelter. Well, may I introduce, Mamie. She is a red and white female from Summerville. She has completed treatment for heartworms and sarcoptic mange. She is spayed. She is a beautiful and entergetic young girl.

Next we have Mr. Delicious, Sheldon. He is ready for his forever home and gets along great with Mamie! Hey, bassets are like potato chips. You can’t just have one! Sheldon is about 4 years old and has been microchipped.

These are just two of the fantastic hounds that will be at the bash. Come see them all. These two will also be at the out of towner’s social pizza party the night before the bash. Want a sneak peek and some slobber with your pizza? Come over to the La Quinta at 6260 Peachtree Road. Lastly, go to

Well, dear friends it is time to fall back! We all gained an extra hour today, and if my hounds have their way, we will be taking a long walk through some colorful leaves. It would be a great day to make a video and hopefully I can upload one tonight via YouTube. I would love to hear what you are doing with your extra hour??? Leave a comment for us. Also, don’t forget to add your caption comment to the Emma picture. You might win a free Lily Book!!!! More Later…Cat, Chaps and Emma
