Sweet Sugar leaves for the rainbow bridge…

Our dear friend Sugar departed yesterday for the rainbow bridge. She is survived by Lana and Rocco Elliott Hohman. Many of you who visit this site on a regular basis will know the Blog, Bongo’s House. It is listed on my blog roll. Well, in honor of Sugar, it has been re-named Bongo and Sugar’s house. Bob has made a tremendous slide show in honor of Sugar and you can view this on his blog. Click on Bongo and Sugar’s house on the right of this post, under the blog roll. We have also started an album in the gallery dedicated to Bongo and Sugar. They were litter mates who NEVER were parted until Bongo passed. Now they are together, forever. Bob and Dodson are great Dads.

I am on my way to the Suncoast event. I logged on to bassethoundtown.com one more time to see what Chaps was saying. I was so sorry to hear his message. My hounds are loaded and in the car. I just watched Sugar’s tribute video. Thank you. I am now going to try and learn this wonderful technique. This is such a lesson for us all. I want something like this for my hounds. Thank you Bongo and Sugar’s House. Cary, Sammy and Joey.

Old people don’t sleep. I was up and checking on Chaps. I see that a much loved hound has passed. She was very lovely. I feel close to her as we both have very white hair. I know she will be missed. My first ever dog, 60 years ago, was named sugar. She was a mutt. A very loved mutt. I still miss her. Love, Ruth.

I really enjoy Bongo’s house. After my dear Trey passed away I was on your blog. Your pictures of what the rainbow bridge might look like helped me. Hopefully, they comfort you now as well. Louie

I’m so sorry to here of sugar passing away.
Please express our condolences to Sugar’s and Bongo’s daddies. We also know the pain they are experiencing and are very sad for them. We lost our brother, Tip, and Sister, Tonga, in 2004 and still love them very much and think of them every day. Sugar and Bongo were very lucky hounds to have such loving daddies.
