Meet my new boy friend! GUS!
7-6-07 – Update: Please read the comments for Gus. There is a small update from Melynda who volunteers at the HOP.
Howllo fellow hound lovers: Can you imagine an old basset guy getting dropped off in front of a PetSmart, skinny and sick?
They said someone just dropped him off in front of the store and drove off. He wandered in on his own and they fixed him a bed and called the humane society
This is Gus. He is now at the House of Puddles. Thank Dog he found his way to the House of Puddles.
He is so sick and not eating. This is why we need donations. Poor Gus. He is my boy friend.
I am going to House of Puddles tomorrow so I will get to meet Gus and his travelling companion Delilah tomorrow. Gus is heartworm + and may have pneumonia, but Marilyn reports he finally ate a little tonight after only taking Ensure by syringe yesterday.
I will give him gentle hugs and kisses from all his friends and furends at Basset Hound Town and I should have pictures to send this weekend. I will tell Gus all about his new ladyfriend Cat!!
Please give Gus a big hug and kiss from us. How could anyone do such a thing to such a sweet boy. Come on everyone. Lets send Marilyn a little green to help with Gus. This touches me deep since my little boy is named Gus. We will be praying. Hang tough Gus.
I am at House of Puddles and Marilyn and I went out for Mexican at lunch. We had lots of yummy leftovers so we boxed them up and brought them back–for Gus!! Gus just had a wonderful snack–Spanish rice, chicken, and cheez!!! He ate about half a cup and now he’s napping. He is such a sweet boy and very quiet, but he did bark at Lucien for getting too close to his rear end.
More later, with pics!
Thanks Melynda for the update. Wow, Gus likes Mexican. It sounds delicious. Poor Lucien, all he wanted was a sniff! We will anxiously await your pictures! Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Dogs have to sniff, they can’t shake hands. LOL Ken
Any updates on Gus?
Andrea
