Update on my boyfriend, Gus – newest resident at the HOP
Howllo Fellow Hound and Gus Lovers: The Gus on my home page is not this same Gus. The Gus on my home page has a wonderful family and is a very benevolent hound. He is actually donating money to the House of Puddle’s Gus who now has a new wonderful Mom named Marilyn.

7-6-07:
Howllo fellow hound lovers: Can you imagine an old basset guy getting dropped off in front of a PetSmart, skinny and sick?
They said someone just dropped him off in front of the store and drove off. He wandered in on his own and they fixed him a bed and called the humane society.
He is now at the House of Puddles. Thank Dog he found his way to the House of Puddles.

Gus was diagnosed with heartworm and is currently on medications. He was so tired at first and could barely wag his tail.
Gus is being monitored by Marilyn the founder of the HOP and CEBR. (chief executive belly rubber)!
Gus is feeling a bit better and is now roaming around.
He was still not eating as much as Marilyn would like, until a few days ago! Look at the sight that Marilyn saw!
Good boy Gus! Look, he even saved a snack for later, according to Marilyn! Click the picture and look at his ear!
Well, things are looking up for my boyfriend and I am sending him cyber slobber. He seems to be fitting right in.
That’s Gus on the far left. He looks like he will fit in just fine. I love you Gus, and all of the Hoppers!

I was very lucky last weekend. I got to meet Gus and cuddle with him. At first, he was sad and shy but after a couple of days he actually came and sat quietly by my foot and nudged me a little for some pets. I leaned down to pet that sweet boy and he gave me a little kiss! Marilyn said he hadn’t even kissed her yet!! He also barked at Lucien, telling Lucien to get away from his butt!! Go Gus Go, get big and healthy!!! I love Gus!!!

Sweet Gus is stirring up a lot of love. He has stolen my heart. I have two Gus’s to love.
HOP is so great!! Marilyn does such a wonderful thing. Please help her out with a donation. Gus has heartworm and I am sure the meds and everything is not cheap. We want Gus to get in tip top shape. He needs the strength to keep those houndies away from his hinder. Thanks for all the updates on Gus!!

What a relief that he is doing well. It is inconceivable what people will do. Can you imagine being dumped in your old age and you are sick and confused and alone?
