Meet Clarence – Ozark Mountain’s new charge

July 19th, 2007 - 6:06 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow hound and soon to be Clarence lovers: The dumping stories never stop. I thought that this guy needed an extra boost of attention. He is staying at the Vet office where he was dumped this morning. He is only about 2 years old and weighs 20 pounds. He is heart worm positive and has some pretty bad sores. 100_5027_3.jpg

Dr. Grogan is my new hero who is donating all of Clarence’s medical treatment! Dr. Pat Grogan runs The Bartlesville Animal Hospital, 1055 NE Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK 74006, and Carol is the office manager. What a special doctor. We here at bassethoundtown.com bow down to you!

Ozark Mountain Basset Hound Rescue will take over when Clarence is released in a few days and get this, Sherry Faulkner – The President of OMBR has already found Clarence a foster home. This is all great news for Clarence. Even with vet care provided by the good doctor, Clarence will have his fair share of expenses. OMBR has a PayPal link on their home page if you would like to give Clarence an extra paw up. Any amount is very appreciated. Here is the link:

I will be keeping up with dear Clarence. He looks like a fine hound that will be saved. Some lucky family is out there waiting for him. Hang on, he’s on the mend!

Thankyou Cat for bringing this to our attention. It is so unbelievable. How can people be so heartless. Then the angels come along like Dr. Grogan. Thankyou for your showing us there is still beauty in this world. You are a true hero!!! Bless you the foster parents. You are angels !!!!!!! One at a time. Keep the fight going !!!!! Thankyou all!!

Oh. My. God! I cannot remember *ever* seeing a dog come into rescue looking this bad. I know I keep saying this over and over (and all my friends must truly tune me out by now), but what kind of people live in this world?

Poor Clarence. He really needed some kindness and he found it with Ozark Mountain Basset Rescue and Dr. Grogan. I can just tell by the look in his face that he is going to a great family member. I hope whatever family wins him keeps in touch with us so we can follow his life. Slurp, Cat, Chaps and Emma
