We had a great day in Rosemary Clooney’s Augusta, KY

September 2nd, 2007 - 4:04 pm KY Time

Howello Fellow Hound and Rosemary Clooney Lovers: I am sure many of you know her sweet voice.
It was fun to travel to the historic town of Augusta, yesterday. It is one hour from my home. It is so quaint and sits right on the Ohio River. Chaps and Emma were a HUGE hit. At one point we had about 10 – 15 people gathered around taking pictures and admiring their beauty! (hopefully) Tehehehehehe!

We arrived just in time for a pizza lunch as the 12 person high school marching band proudly paraded down main street. What a treat. Chaps and Emma love pizza and Tubas! Here is a short video of the walk we took after the Labor day weekend event.

Cat, That was just great,I got kind of homesick
seeing the Ohio River and Ohio on the other side.
My Father was born in Southern Ohio. Some day I may take a trip back home To NE Ohio where I was Born
If I do It may be by way of Kentucky. Hugs Ken, Lemon Drop & Buster.

Ken you are welcome any time. Just let me know and we can hold a mini waddle over the purple people bridge. I will put a call out to all hound residents in the area to join us. It would be so much fun! Your true friends, Cat, Chaps and Emma

It sure looked like a beautiful, fun filled and peaceful day. Great video. I am sure the Mayor and Emma steal the show wherever they go. I would have loved to be walking down the lane with them. Thankyou for sharing your day with us.

What a great video!! Thanks Kit for sharing your day, as I watched the video I feel like I was there! Rosemary’s song is so perfect! Chaps and Emma looked like they lived next to the river for a lifetime! How beautiful.
    Love you,
