bassethoundtown theater presents the AZ basset hound stars!

October 20th, 2007 - 6:06 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and Arizona Basset Hound Rescue lovers:

Welcome to bassethoundtown’s theater presentation for the night. I have made a video of the hounds that are just as beautiful and bright as the painted desert of the Southwest. All of the hounds in this video are looking for the person who is looking for them. They cannot do it on their own, so the wonderful people of AZBHR step in. These fine folks have helped find forever homes for over 900 dogs since 1998. You deserve a round of applause and a chorus of howling.

Please go to their website. You may not be able to adopt a hound, but you can sure help one that is not adoptable.

This is Maggie Moo. Kip and Gus sponsor her.

Well, sit back and enjoy the show. Music by Rascal Flatts.
(musical selection inspired by Devon, many of these hounds are seniors!)

Let me try to type this through the tears. That was so very beautiful. Words cannot describe that video. The love in the eyes of those hounds mel;ts the heart. What great work AZBHR does. Cat and Devon, I cannot begin to express the love an admiration I have for you both. This world shines because of people like you. Thankyou.

Oh Kip and Gus, that is so sweet. You make all the hard work worth it. I have dedicated my life for the last 10 years to making this website come true. I want to shine a light on all of the basset kids in the USA who need homes. I was so struck that AZ has so many. Over 40! This video took me about 6 hours to make. I tried to match the colors for their names with something in the photo. I enjoyed every second of it. The faces inspire me! Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Thank you so much Cathy for this awesome tribute to our hounds…we have over 60 up for adoption as many haven’t made it to the website. We have been averaging 60 hounds in foster care.

We’ve saved over 175 so far with vet bills of $84,000 so every donation, adoption and support really helps us.

The hounds in AZ are sending you lots of loving drool to say thank you!

We have recently made a very empowering video soon to be posted on you tube and website…it will make you cry as it did myself and many others at our recent Basset Ball!

    Love that Drool,

PS Thanks to all the rescue groups for all they do!

Dear Kim: Thank you so much for your message. We really look forward to your video as well. Please let me know as soon as you get it up on YouTube. I will make sure to post it on my blog as well. It was a pleasure and a joy to work on the video.

Wow! 60 hounds is a lot. The vet bills are crushing.

Bassethoundtown is donating 25% from the sale of the Lily book the month of October. So do some Holiday shopping now and help AZ hounds. I will also have another little fundraising surprise to cap off the month.

We love AZ bassest in our town! Cat, Chaps and Emma

Thanks Ken! I worked really hard on it. It took about 5 hours. How wonderful are all of those faces? It was totally worth it. If one hound gets adopted I will be so glad! Love Cat

    Cat,

You are awesome! I bawled my eyes out on the video. Perfect song to play and so true. Don’t understand how people can dump their dogs and look into their eyes and turn the other way. Thanks for your tribute!
