The artist updates her video for us! Thank you
Howllo Fellow Hound and rescue lovers: I just found this on YouTube. Comments? Well, the artist check in with bassethoundtown.com and you can read her comments below. I did not add several comments because they were no longer relevant. I have e-mailed those people Elin’s good response.
This was my original comment:
I was kind of wondering why the artist did not contact Basset Hound Rescue in her area, instead of “hoping” the rescue would find the hound??? Strange.

She said she loves him. Why didn’t she help him?

I emailed the artist to ask her if the basset rescue was contacted. I’ll let you know what she says. I will also put her in contact with her local rescue in case she runs across another dog. If she didn’t know who to contact, we can fix that.
When I did the photographs for this painting, I was told by the staff of LEAF that a rescue group was making arrangements for his pick up, and he was being held for them. He was one of the lucky ones!
I realize my talk about the painting wasn’t clear that a rescue group was working for him. I’m not sure what the issue was, probably time and distance. Thank you for linking my painting-a-day to your blog! If I can answer any other questions, just let me know.

Thank you so much Theresa. You did a great thing. You are a true hero to basset hounds in need. Fast action is so important. I am thrilled with the Artist’s reponse. Hope to hear from you again. Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
HI Elin: Your work is stunning and I can certainly understand now what happened. You are right. The hound was one of the Lucky ones. Basset hound rescue in the USA works tirelessly across the nation to make sure we know of each and every basset in the shelter system. There is now a website that helps us called http://www.dogsindanger.com/
Thanks again for clearing up the video. I have updated my blog. Your wesite is great!

Elin, it is a wonderful painting. Sorry for being a little harsh. I should get the full story first. My apologies.

Kip and Gus, this was my fault, not yours! I have sent Elin an e-mail. As you can see. I feel the same way you do. I asked for comments! I love you guys. Love Cat, Chaps and Emma
Seeing a picture of a hound looking out of a cage can stir a lot of emotion.
We love you guys!
