Can you believe how cute both of these boys are? This is my nephew on his pony Abe! Click on the picture and see the adorable braid Abe has. The look in his eyes is so sweet. He is really loved and cared for. I cannot wait to see both of them on Thanksgiving. My sister and her hubby have a small horse farm in Kentucky. We are having Thanksgiving dinner with them.

How much fun will this be? What are you doing? I would love for you to leave a comment!

Not counting the gun fire, Halsbury’s transport goes great!

November 18th, 2007 - 6:06 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and making it home safe lovers:

Talk about your wild ride. My Mom and I made it to the Bob Evans right outside of Columbus without a hitch. The typical 8 lanes of fast food joints, gas stations and motels. We arrive a bit early so we can potty out the baby and get some last minute love in. I tell my Mom to go ahead and use the Bob Evans bath room and I will get Halsbury out for her potty break. I am enjoying the large field behind Bob Evans very busy parking lot when I hear, “Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop (about 10 more times). I look up and across the field I see a swarm of men running and extending their arms at each other.

I grab Halsbury and run to my car and hide behind it. I watch for my Mom to make sure no one is coming in our direction. I see her and the coast is clear and I grab her to my side of the car. Peaking through the windows of my car I seen running and fleeing in all directions from the swarm. I looked at my Mom and said, could it be a paint ball place? Just then we hear the sirens. The place is covered in cop cars. We are at, what I determine to be a safe distance, but we are still not sure. Kevin, Halsbury’s next ride is on his way. The Cops are looking for the shooters and are patrolling the entire area. We see a punk looking couple get searched but they are let go.

Here is Kevin and Sarah. It was great to meet them. What a sweet couple doing a great deed.
See the Cop Car behind them? This is the field I was walking Halsbury in and that is where the shoot out was.

We made the switch very quickly and told them to look out. The shooters were still at large. I had the feeling it was not a random shooting, but between two groups or gangs. However, for the most part they do not care who gets in the way. No ambulances were called so I guess no one got hit.

Halsbury is probably on her way to Maryland right now with Kevin. She is spending the night with Kevin’s Mom, Tina.

Here she is with her two hounds! “Gomer is in front, Chloe is behind me. They both are rescues from Brood. We have had Gomer 1 1/2 and Chloe about 6 years. We also have 2 cats (rescues)”.

Can you believe it? Here it is, Sunday morning and there is a shoot out over who knows what. Then, there is me, an innocent bystander with a pup. It really makes me so sad. I just want to cry.

Good versus Evil

Howllo fellow hound and Lucy/Halsbury lovers: I know we sure are going to miss her. She is on her way this morning to Columbus, then to Maryland, then to DC to her new Mom. As I was waking up this morning I went over in my head how many people have helped in this rescue and transport and I came up with 16 that I can think of. 16 people came to the aid of this small pup due to the lack of compassion of one person. It is really mind boggling when you think about it. I am sure there are a few more that I cannot even think of. If you go down a few blog listings, you can read more about Lucy/Halsbury. Halsbury is her new name. I am going to post this right now for you early morning readers. However, check back. I got up extra early to do a Vlog posting of our girl. I have to go get ready and get her ready. Check back soon for her video close up!

Howllo Fellow Hound and Puppy Hound Lovers:

OMG, this little hound is totally adorable. Her new Mommy is going to re-name her but for now this is Lucy. This little pup was relinquished by it owner to an area pound. I just learned this today, but a pound can euthanize an owner relinquished dog the same day it is brought in due to over crowding. OMG! IMG_2362.JPG
We have this pawsome rescue in Northern KY called ROSA’s .

They were at this particular pound the hour that Lucy was dropped off. They were picking up a few needy souls. Lucy was added to the pile and the rest is history!

IMG_2353.JPG

Saved by a rescue person! Brings a tear to the eye. Now she is at my home ready to start her new life. I am so happy for her.

Lauryn is the new Mommy and I bet she is eternally grateful. We have a transport going this weekend. I am driving the puplicious to Columbus and from there the pup is being driven to her new Mom. Delicious puppy breath!

It is hard, but I am trying not to fall in LOVE! (Chaps is not feeling it!)

Do you want to see a video of her? I bet you do!!!!!!! Please enjoy her because we sure are!

Hopefully, someone in here area will see her and fall in love. They have placed dogs with families as far away as California and Alaska.

Here is Daisy’s Pet finder page along with the other Cascadia Kids:

Daisy is a beautiful 12 yr old girl. Her owner had to go into a nursing home so Daisy found herself homeless. =((
