Aimee, a Chicago Basset Hound gets red shoes!

Howllo Fellow Hound and shoe wearing hound lovers:

How about this pretty girl and her new red shoes, not to mention that totally pawsome coat?

Her Mom states, “We gave in and bought Aimee some shoes. They are absolutely required for the winters in Chicago, since everyone throws done salt like there’s no tomorrow. It’s sheer torture for Aimee to walk on. We tried various rubs and creams on her feet, but she can’t walk more than 12 feet before sticking her paws in the air like one of those desert geckos when the sand is too hot.”

Makes perfect sense to Chaps, Emma and I!

This hound looks so loved!

    Greetings!

I hope this letter finds you well!

My name is Meghan Goldbeck and I am a media intern for AnimalSense, Chicago land’s premiere Canine Training and Behavior Organization.

AnimalSense’s Owner and Founder, Jamie Damato, is currently involved with the program Animal Witness, which recently premiered on Animal Planet in September. The program reenacts past criminal cases, where the unlikely witnesses were animals. Think CSI, with the animals leading criminals to justice!! Our organization provides the animals for each episode and trains each to perform various reenactments for the filmmakers. We are currently searching for a basset hound puppy, aged 16-20 weeks for the next episode!

All animals we work with during production must meet the following requirements:

    -updated vaccinations with appropriate records
    -show no signs of aggression
    -social/appropriate with other dogs
    -food motivated.

As with our past productions, Jamie Damato and an American Humane Association representative, will be glued to the dog at all times. Our main concern is for the welfare of all animals and we do everything in our power to provide a safe environment for the dogs we bring on set.

If you or someone you know is interested in this wonderful opportunity, and your yellow lab puppy fits the above description, please let us know as soon as possible! We will be filming in the Chicago area Wed Nov. 5th!

We look forward to hearing from you!

    All the Best!
