Ariel was surrendered to Montgomery Co. Animal Control in KY by her owners when they discovered she had heartworms and couldn’t afford the treatment. Baby Leonard was picked up as a stray in Nelson Co., KY, and he’d been marked for euthanization. Thankfully, both are now safe in rescue, but the rescue is currently overcrowded, so Ariel and Leonard are being transferred to another rescue in NJ.

NOTE: Due to a personal family tragedy, the sending rescue in Hopkinsville, KY will be unable to fill the first leg. From Hopkinsvile – Nashville is 70 miles to the SE, Bowling Green is 64 miles west, and Evansville, IN is 82 miles straight north. If you live even remotely close, please, PLEASE consider driving this leg!!
