Hi everyone……I had fun making a video for Emma who has been blind for one month from primary closed angle glaucoma. I cannot tell you how much she inspires me. Our girl is so smart. She is still a bit depressed and sleeps more than she normally does. Goodness sake, she need time, just like her family. I hope you enjoy her video. See how she makes her way! She is so incredible. Look how she takes her first walk. How pawsome is she?

O.K.– I can definitely say……I have no tears left tonight! OMG, I can not believe how well Emma did on her first walk. I know you must be so proud. The hardest thing for me is not being able to jump through this monitor and just hug her tight! Please give her a big kiss and hug….I am soooooo proud of our Emma. Love you Cat ~ Audra

Dear Sam: Follow me is a fantastic song. It is done by Kimiko Itoh. Here is her Wikipedia link.

I found her by researching a Japanese cyberpunk who loves basset hounds.

I just want to say thank you for the comments. It really means a lot. Our Emma loves every one of them as well. I just feel so sorry for her. I can tell she hates being blind. Who wouldn’t? I know she feels safe however. She tucks in every night right next to me and lets out a huge sigh. I know that she is saying, Thank you Mommy. I love you.

I love you too Emma. Mommy

Cat, I am researching basset hound breeders and ran across your site. Thank you so much for the information. Can you suggest a BHCA breeder that does not have glaucoma in their line? I live in the west. I will also e-mail you privately. I am so sorry for you. It seems like you did so much to honor a breeder. Hey, guess what? You never know who you are dealing with. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your work and dedication to this breed. Rick – Hollywood CA
