Wow, how time flies…
Howllo Fellow Hound and ATB hound lovers: It was 4 years ago today that my Lily Pad went to the bridge. It was at 9:00pm she died of liver disease. I had my Pad for nine glorious years. 
She was a stray wandering in the projects of Newport KY. I had called OHBR that morning to see about adopting an elder. I left a message. The call after mine was a woman who had watched Lily wandering around for weeks and finally got her. She left a message right after mine. Well, the rest is history. I went over and got her that night.
I drove her to the vet office right from the pick up. It was so funny, the vet thought she was about nine years old, but really she was not that old. She just looked old from the streets. I think she was about five. 
I miss her every day. She changed my life and gave me passion and compassion for everything basset. I miss you little girl. Thank you for leading the way! Love Mommy.
