Oakley was loved by his Mommy so much…..
Howllo Fellow Hound Lovers:
Tawny is a friend of mine who lost her sweet basset hound Oakley recently. Tawny was one of the first people, if not the first person, to read my blog. We had so much fun following each other’s hounds.
Tawny, it is a true honor to have you as a friend. Your YouTube video of Oakley is wonderful. I know the love you had for him and still do, remains powerful.
It is with much love that we honor Oakley’s memory. We ache for your loss dear friend. He was much too young.
Love….Cat, Chaps and Emma
Dear Cat, Chaps and Emma,
Thank you so very much! This is such a wonderful honour to bestow upon my “Sweet Angel” Oakley!! I have been so out of touch with everyone for the past year, and didn’t have time to use my computer for “entertainment” purposes, nor the time to keep in touch with friends. Oakley fought a good fight, but in the end the pain was just too much. I needed to take that pain on for him, so he could be free. I miss him so much it hurts!
Oakley will always be proud of being appointed the first “Deputy Sheriff” of Bassethoundtown!!
I’m sure you will be able to find a wonderful replacement for his position, now that he’s probably patrolling the Rainbow Bridge, for the next journey in his life!
We love you,
Tawny & Angel Oakley ATB
Oh Tawny, I love how you stated that “I needed to take the pain on for him, so he could be free.” You are a true angel. I love that quote. It really touches me. I only wish I could take a bit of that pain away for you, but I know it is not possible.
We love you Tawny. We are always here for you. Love, Cat, Chaps and Emnma
Cat,Here I sit crying, Oakley is now Patrolling God’s Golden halls. Tawny, I am so very sorry, I know your heart is broken. Cat ,I don’t have Tawney’s E Mail address so if you have my Poem Waddle at the Bridge, would you please send it to her. Love Ken
Of course I will Ken. It is a beautiful poem and I know she will treasure it. Love you, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Oh Tawny, I am so sorry for your loss. I know you must miss Oakley and I wish I could have been there for you.
