Chaps wows the crowd as Parade Grand Marshall!
Howllo Fellow Hound and Parade Lovers: This weekend Chaps was the Grand Marshall of the SAAP parade. He took his job very seriously and lead the way in hope of helping some of our local homeless pets. Here he is with his grandma waiting for the parade to start.
I would say they had a great turn out and many rescue groups were present. Any time they can raise awareness is great. We donated some Lily Books and everyone seemed to really like them.
I was one of the judges for the costume contest and this hound dog won as officer and a wiener dog!
A great time was had by all and my only regret is that I did not get Chaps over to the animal communicator. I am kicking myself for that one. I am going to find her and get a private session. She said he had a lot to tell me. Damn!
More Later…Cat, Chaps and Emma
P.S. I have to add this. At one point, Chaps had a line formed of people waiting to pet him. He drew a major crowd. I heard so many basset hound stories! It was totally pawsome!
Cat,
Congrats to Chaps! What a great ambassetor!
Yes, you should go to the animal communicator. I took my Bubbles (basset, of course) to the communicator at the Michigan Waddle a few years ago. Bubs was always “talking” to me but I felt I couldn’t always understand her. The communicator told me that Bubs felt that I understood the important things and the rest of it was she liked to hear her own voice! LOL! I believe that’s true! She also told me things that there was no way she could have guessed them. Definitely worth doing.
Judy
Judy, I called her yesterday and I have not heard back. My other basset Emma is a huge talker. I talk right back. I am going to take her as well. I hope to capture our session and put it on YouTube. I will keep you posted.
