Did you know that Marilyn Monroe had a basset?

Did you know that Ms. Monroe had a basset hound? Well she did. His name was Hugo. Hugo was Marilyn’s hound when she was married to Arthur Miller.
The following excerpt is from the book “Marilyn Among Friends” by Sam Shaw:
It may have seemed like Beauty and the Beast to some, but Marilyn and Hugo loved one another deeply. She worried about her basset hound, especially by Hugo’s peculiar doggie hazards, such as, for instance, how to put it…the basset, as you many know, is a low-slung animal, moving close to the ground. Marilyn was anxious (she confided to me) that in hurrying over the rocky terrain of their farm. Hugo’s low penis might possibly strike a stone. She’d cry out merrily, ‘Be careful, Hugo!’.

How funny! I just got this month’s Vanity Fair in the mail and guess who’s on the cover? I just gave the article a quick read through and, of course, it mentions Hugo. Apparently, Marilyn used to write letters to friends and family from Hugo…sounds like something I would do! BTW, the latest pics of Chaps and Emma? I could just eat those two up with a spoon! Waaahhh! I miss having bassets!

btw forgive it being in the adult category-it’s because I posted some of Marilyn’s nude calender photo and some the nude pics she did for Bert Stern but all the photos are real and in good taste IMO.
Anyway I love bassets and Marilyn-one of my ex-boyfriends owns a female basset hound with a mix of beagle (though I think she looks more basset) he adopted from an SPCA and her name is Ginger. She is sweet as can be, loves stuffed toys and food and often insists on sleeping in bed with my ex and she sometimes wanted to sleep with me too LOL!
BASSETS RULE and Marilyn is the ultimate star!
