Chaps was howling in his sleep last night!!!

Howllo Fellow Hound and Sleep Howler Lovers: Has this ever happened with your hound? Chaps has done it about 5 or 6 times in the 5 years I have had him. It is the strangest thing. He sleep howls. The sleep howl sounds nothing like the awake howl. The sleep howl is higher and much more plaintive. I gently woke him up, just in case he was having a bad dream. Wow, it is really strange. Here he is getting ready to howl on the back porch, fully awake! LOL!

Do you have a sleep howler?

Yep – Monty’s a sleep howler and a sleep barker. It’s really cute – I love his little sleep woofs! They’re very soft and puff out his chheks like he’s playing a trombone. It used to wake Fleur up and set her off, bu tnow she sleeps right through it!

Yes, Lilly does this. She will be sound asleep then as she begins howling in her sleep she will lift her head. Then she will usually wake up and look around, like, who did dat???? :o)

Yup, Scully lets out some good howls in her sleep too — usually after she’s spent a few minutes kicking me in the stomach. 🙂

Bailey and Molly do this too. And their feet are going a million miles an hour. . . Whatever they are howling at – they are really trying to catch it.
