Kooter throws a cup cake party!
Howllo Fellow Hound and Cup Cake Lovers! As my readers know I was going to see Koots today. I had a huge list of errands to run and I decided to buy a dozen cup cakes for the gals at the pound in honor of Kooter.
I had to show you guys this icing decoration. How cute????????
Look how Yummy! It was my way of thanking everyone for taking care of our Kooter! Well, things have taken a turn and it seems that a very wonderful lady, who is local, wants to potentially adopt our Kooter. Her dog had just passed from old age. She has always come to this shelter to adopt dogs and cats.
She has been a long time supporter of this shelter and came in last night looking for the next love in her live. Get this…….She came in looking for a Great Dane or other large dog!
Well, who does she lock eyes with? Our Kooter! That basset hound look can get to a person!
The gals told her that Koots had a rescue hold, but that I would be coming down today. OK. I am not a real rescue, just a rescue lover. This sounds good for Koots.
Just to let you know, I had the most fantastic home in the world lined up for him. Remember Rudolph? He came from the same pound! Kooter was going to go to Gail’s place in VA. OMG – Heaven.
I cannot thank Gail enough for stepping up and helping this guy.
This is him after I walked him today. He is so ready to get the hell out of this place.
After I dropped off the cup cakes I walked outside. What do I see?
Look close, right in the middle – Is that a penny face up?
Yes it is and I made a wish for Kooter. It is bad luck to tell you what it is.
Will you make one for him as well? Then go eat a cup cake in his honor!
Slurp!
More Kooter stories later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
I sure hope that boy is happy, even if he doesn’t get to come live with me and the barnyard bunch. Kooter should know he will always have someone that loves him, no matter where he is! God Bless you Cat, for giving him the time to find a family!
Wonderful news. Cat, there are no words to descibe the true wonder you are. Gail, the same goes for you. Our love and best wishes go out to you Kooter.
We love you,
Kip, Gus, Bonnie and Charlie
Gail, what would I do without you? There is nothing in this world more pathetic than a basset hound at the pound. It just rips my heart out. I have to start a fund so I can pull them and put them up. I need to hire a foster family.
Again, Gail without out you I might be in the hospital instead of the original owner! NLOL!
We love you, Cat, Chaps and Emma
I can’t eat a cupcake for Kooter but I can send him good wishes, whether he comes up to Gail’s or home with the other lady. GOOD LUCK KOOTER!!!!
Oh, Cat I am soooo glad you might have a home for Kooter! And bless your heart Gail, for offering to take in yet another one. Two years ago today, Abby was picked up and taken to the pound (a very dirty, bad pound – that almost cost her her life). She had to spend the 3 dreaded days there, but now she is in her Forever Home…..Forever!
Great news glad to hear it all worked out for Kooter!
So many good people (goodvibes)

SK – I was a wreck over it. I am thrilled beyond belief! Thanks for helping us through this!
Cat
Audra, can you believe that it was 2 years ago? I cannot. Koots has a good story now as well. Love, Cat
Melynda….. I will have your cup cake for you! LOL. You look Mavolous! And Koots hopefully feels that way now!
Cat
I am so happy for Kooter! What a touching story. Happy Thanksgiving to you guys:)
What a wonderful Thanksgiving for everyone. Kooter deserves the best and it sounds like that’s what he’s getting & then some.
Cat, Did you know that the Mayor’s son Colby is up for Basset of the week on the Daily Drool Basset of the week contest. Everyone should vote for Colby.
I was wondering if a special lady named Maureen had anything to do with this BOW honor? LOL!
