Update on Clancy….

November 6th, 2008 - 8:08 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and Clancy Lovers: Our Clancy had surgery last week to remove his anal glands and his Mommy just sent me an update.

“Clancy is doing quite well for all that he had done to him. He’s still not eating real well, but Clancy’s Dr. says that the antibiotic will have a lot to do with that. We haven’t got the pathology results back yet, but am keeping positive thoughts. The day after surgery he started draining from his stitches where his anal glands were removed. Its been a little difficult for him but he’s been a real “Little Trooper”. The Dr. says this is all normal, but may last several days. Everyday seems to be getting a little better.

Thanks for caring, will keep in touch.

Clancy’s Mom”

Thanks Clancy’s Mom. We will look forward to our next update. Kiss Clancy for us.

More updates later…Cat, Chaps and Emma

An Indian Summer moment captured on election day!

November 4th, 2008 - 6:06 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and Election Indian Summer Day Lovers:

OMG – I cannot tell you how magnificent this day was in the world of voting and walking hounds. My Mom took a walk yesterday and told me that we HAD to walk the hounds today and capture this tree that was 2 minutes from our home. I have to let you know that I did NO color correction whatsoever. This is the true color of this tree – absolutely!

THIS IS THE START OF THE PHOTO SHOOT OF THE TREE THAT MY MOM INSISTED THAT THE KIDS BE PHOTOGRAPHED UNDER………..(God I love her)

We set up shop for about a half hour doing this shoot. I took about 80 photos and these are some of the best…….

What I love about the photos is that the white areas of fur on the kids look pink. This is the sun reflecting off of the leaves onto their coats. I am just thrilled with how wonderful these pictures turned out! Thanks to my Mom.

My Mom is the best at bringing me the best shot. Just look at Emma!!!

I had Chaps attached to the tree that had a large cow bell in it. It was so totally cool, hearing that cow bell and seeing my kid in such a beautiful setting!

The sun light was dancing on the pink leaves and I was in heaven. Of course there were out takes!
This one was just as cute as any of the others! LOL

Then a leaf landed on our Emma’s head!

Then the Mayor said he was done. He let me take this one final shot. Some times the last shot is the best. Some times the moment is the best. When they combined. Priceless………..

More pink leaves later (hopefully) Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma – Enjoy

I VOTED!

November 4th, 2008 - 5:05 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hounds and those of you who voted lovers! I am just now updating my blog with my voting experience. You will not believe this. My Mom, Dad and I walked right in and voted without waiting one single second. OMG! How flukish is that? I was thrilled because my Dad is very uneasy on his feet for any extended period of time. I had a chair for him, but of course we did not need it.

The smooth sailing was not without incident. I got yelled at by the poll worker!!!! I voted first and when it was my Mom’s turn, I pointed out to her that something was on the ballot that was a bit confusing that had to do with our city counsel. As I was very quickly pointing this out to my Mom, the poll worker went nuts! She accused me of trying to influence the elderly!!! The issue is deer hunting with bow and arrows in our town. We hate it. We despise it.

I got yelled at!

Poor me! Luckily my Dad told me not to take my camera in or else, I might have gotten kicked out.

After we voted we did what we do every election day. Head right to Bob Evans for breakfast and start the bitching which we are totally entitled to and proud of it! LOL

Sorry, this is really boring. Now for the not boring stuff!

The next tradition is taking a walk and boy did we take a walk. You will not believe the pictures. They maybe some of my best. I will post them in my next blog. All I can say is OMG!

More really soon, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Well, I’m off to vote!

November 4th, 2008 - 8:08 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and Voting Lovers: I have on my red shirt, my blue pants and my white shoes! I also have a healthy dose of white dog hair all over me to make my patriotic outfit complete.

This is exciting. I love making a difference!

I am sure all of my excitement will wear off if the line is around the block. LOL!

More voting updates later. I am taking my camera!

Happy voting!

Love, Cat, Chaps and Emmers

Rudy needs a ride (and a puggle named pedal) Gasp!

November 3rd, 2008 - 7:07 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and getting Rudy into his new home lovers! We need to get Rudy and Pedal a Puggle transported to Arlene this Saturday, November the 8th. (I just found out about Pedal tonight…..Arlene had her pulled)

Arlene is of BASSET HOUND RESCUE LEAGUE

The general route is from Cincinnati to Maryland.

Here is the transportation route that we would like to take place this Saturday.

CLICK HERE FOR THE MAP QUEST I DID!

Oh for the love of God, Rudy was a wanderer with no fault of his own, but now we need to wander him over to Arlene who has a good chance of placing him. There is a ton more info on Rudy right below in another blog posting.

Pedal the puggle also has a home via Arlene. Pedal the puggle was dropped off at the same shelter as Rudy, just a pup with spay surgery stitches still in. WTF?

Anyway, there is no time to question the human race. Let’s just try to set them up on one. Do you know anyone that can help transport? I will do the first leg. Just take a look and I will get back to all of the Rudy and now Pedal followers to see what we come up with.

Arlene is paying for both of them to be boarded in Northern KY. The bills are adding up and potential families are waiting.

I hope I know what I am doing this Saturday! It would be great to get them on their way. If you do not live in the area and know someone, I am open for suggestions!

Rudy is my mission and I guess Pedal is now as well. Sigh!

More updates later….Cat, Chaps, Emma, Rudy and Pedal the Puggle – (Arlene named her) Cute huh?

Who needs a fly swatter when…….

Really, who needs a fly swatter

You have the Mayor on the job!

The Mayor always gets his fly!

Yuck….

More not letting flies in later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma

Anyone remember Rudy? The Ft. Thomas, KY pound hound?

November 2nd, 2008 - 9:09 am KY Time

Howllo fellow Hound and Rudy lovers:

HERE IS THE FIRST POST I DID ON RUDY

HERE IS THE SECOND POST I DID ON RUDY – COMPLETE WITH VIDEO

HERE IS THE THIRD POST I DID ON RUDY

Well since those postings, Rudy has been in the pound 3 more times. Every time his family came and got him, much to my chagrin. His family is an insult to hound lovers.
Total Morons. If you took the time to read his story, it was all lies. His family could care less about him. Finally, we get Rudy out of that sick environment!

Rudy became ward of the Campbell County Pound yesterday. A tight group of Rudy lovers has been working to get him out. He was picked up by an all breed rescue yesterday and is being vetting and cared for financially by Arlene of BASSET HOUND RESCUE LEAGUE, INC

I will be working on a transport that will head north this upcoming weekend. We will go through OH and PN. Will you please check back and see if you can help? I will have the route up very soon. Arlene already has a few folks interested in our Rudy. Hang on Rudy, we are looking for a real family for you. I cannot think of a more deserving hound!

More Rudy updates later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
