Does Chaps have extraordinary ear length?
December 2nd, 2008 - 9:09 pm KY Time
Howllo fellow Hound and extraordinary ear length lovers! Does Chaps have an unusually long ear span? I was just wondering? I know I am his Mom and I think he is the best at everything, but what do you think? Do your hounds have longer ears?
My Mom displays our boy’s ears! What do you think?
I want to hold a contest. Do you want participate?

All angels have wings. ken
I definitely want to participate in a contest. The Basset with the longest ear span should win a special prize. What do you think?
I always play with my hounds’ ears and sing the following song:
Do Your ears hand low?
Do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie them in a knot?
Can you tie them in a bow?
My Bailey came from a litter of 13 and he was the second to leave the nest. What attracted me to him were his long ears.
Hope all is well with Grandpa, Cat.

Ken that is so sweet! He does look like he has wings! I love that!

I would love to do a contest. I have some gifts I could donate! I might wait until after the Holidays so the contest shines on it’s own. I can’t wait! Cool!
Cat
Candy that is so cute! I love playing with hound ears! They are like velvet!
Thanks for asking about Grandpa. I am taking him to the doctor’s today. He seems a bit better. I will have him sit with the therapy hounds later. That should do a world of good!

I love hound ears. When I’m with them cuddling, I play with them. They are soft and I just love looking at the length. When my husband took me to look at a litter of pups, one of the first things he did was look at the ear length.
Agree a contest would be fun. Would just be interesting to see how long some are.
I think Chaps could definitely win an ear length contest! I’ve never measured Scully’s before…must give that a try.
Mayor, those ears are fabulous. Nothing like a Bassets ears.
