Yet another amazing Emma story!
Howllo Fellow Hound and Amazing Emma Lovers: A few days ago my Mom washed all of the dog toys which takes up both of our machines. The kids hate toy washing day. I can just tell it.
Anyway, my Mom finished the tidy toy task and put them all in the clean toy bags. We usually make a fairly big deal about bringing them in my home and and scattering them around. We also make sure we get the favorites out right away so the hounds don’t freak out.
Then, I put an extra bag of fresh toys in the office closet for Emma to enjoy. It’s a little game she has where she likes to have fresh toys after scratching on the door. We both enjoy it.
(I hope this is not too long)……..
So, to make a long story longer. I heard Emma back in the office almost frantic at the closet door. It was not her usual game. I opened the door and she leaped up and snatched the toy bag right off the shelf which she has never done.
I had never seen her do this before. I let her continue and she stuck her head deep in the bag.
Like I said before, she was frantic…….
Chaps and I were puzzled. Then I saw the errors of my ways. I had forgotten to pull Emma’s favorite toy out.
This shot was achieved by this toy laying on the floor for a nano second. It was scooped up and she was off to her bed in the living room!
Can you believe that she did that totally blind? She amazes us everyday, and I had to share with my dear readers. Sorry the shot is so blurry, it’s an action shot! LOL
OMG! Everyone thinks their kids are smart but who has a genius? hehehehehe
AMAZING EMMA
More stories later because you know there will be more!
Love, Cat, Chaps and lil’ Miss genius!
A girl wants what she wants!
Oh Cat your such a great Momma!
Yes it amazes me what Emma does really (((hugs))
I hope one day to be able to meet your genius and chaps and yourself of course.
Love Tina Beulah and Bogart
How funny!
She is a smart girl!
Mine hounds like to drag there toys out the doggie door and into the mud! Everytime I bring them in and wash them, right out the door they go again!
OMG Cat, that is amazing. Nothing suprises me with that sweet Emma. She inspires me everyday. This was a great story. Thankyou.
Hugs,
Kip, Gus, Bonnie and Charlie Bear
Oh Cat…..that is a precious story! It is so great that Emma still knows how to get what she wants — she IS amazing! Even though the toy was clean without that special scent, she still found it! What a girl. My favorite part — that she took teddy to bed with her! Kiss the girl (and big boy for me).
Our Emma can really touch some hearts. I just love watching her every day. This morning she woke up and started licking Chaps’s face. It was the cutest thing ever.
That was my favorite Christmas Present ever. Seeing Emma so happy and adjusting to her blindness and doing so well. We love that girl with all our heart!
Bailey, Clancy and Charlene.
I love to hear stories about Emma achieving her goals in spite of her blindness. I think Emma is a shinning example of someone who wants to be independent.
You are so right Maureen. She wants to do it herself. My Mom picked that up from day one. My Mom always tells me. Let her do it herself. And Moms are always right.
