Chaps has a question for Santa………

Howllo Fellow Hound and Santa Lovers: Every year Chaps visits with Santa prior to his journey for some of his pressing questions. Tonight, Chaps would like to share his first question and the answer from Santa.

Chaps: Dear Santa, I know you maintain a long list of children and pets who have been good throughout the year. The list gets bigger each year by virtue of the world’s increasing population. I know this because I just googled it. Here are the facts Santa! How on earth can you do all of your deliveries in one night?

World POPClock Projection

Santa: Dear Chaps my dear hound and friend, Ho – Ho – Ho – you are such a smart and good boy. Please let me try to explain it to you and you can tell all of your hound friends.

Shhhhhhhhhhh, listen carefully my dear boy.

Due to the increasing population I have to deliver more toys in the same amount of time. If one were to assume I work in the realm of standard time, I would have to limit my stay to about two to three ten-thousandths of a second per home!

The fact that I am more than16 centuries old and I do not age, should be your biggest clue and tell you that I do not work within time as you know it. My Christmas Eve trip may seem to take around 24 hours, but to me it may last days, weeks or even months in standard time. I would not want to rush the important job of distributing presents to children and hounds spreading Christmas happiness to everyone, so the only logical conclusion is that I function within a different time-space continuum than the rest of us do.

Chaps: Huh?

Santa: Don’t worry dear friend I have plenty of treats for all the hounds.

Chaps: Pawsome Santa – you totally answered my question!

Santa and Chaps, where were you when I was studying physics?

I never realized or thought about a time difference, but now I know better.
