Peanut product scare spreads to animal food

Howllo Fellow Hound and needing the news lovers:

PetSmart, the largest retailer of specialty pet services and supplies, is recalling seven types of its Grreat Choice dog biscuits in response to concerns about salmonella-tainted peanut products.

In a statement, the company said it has received no reports of dogs sickened by possibly tainted biscuits. However, it said it was pulling the products as a precaution

These products were recalled:

– Small Assorted 32 oz., UPC 73725702900
– Small/Medium Assorted 4 lb., UPC 73725700601
– Small/Medium Assorted 8 lb., UPC 73725700605
– Small/Medium Assorted 10 lb., UPC 73725702755
– Large Assorted 8 lb., UPC 73725700638
– Extra Large Assorted 8 lb., UPC 73725700779
– Peanut Butter 4 lb., UPC 73725700766

Also Wednesday, Aldi food stores announced it was recalling two items: Cambridge Cheese Crackers with peanut butter and Grandessa peanut butter cookies. Consumers can return the products to their Aldi stores for a double refund.

    Thanks I have a bag of these….I guess I will take them back to Petsmart — Colby Chaps & Abby have already had some, but I don’t want to take any chances, so no more! Thanks again.
