Young 3 month old Emma…They grow up so fast!

January 23rd, 2009 - 7:07 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound And Knowing They Grow Up So Fast Lovers: This is a picture I took of our Emma the day after I brought her home. What a young pup she was, only 3 months old.

She was a wild pup. Flying through the air. I remember I called her my flying white tiger with razor blade teeth!

Grandma had about 5 band aides on each arm from Emma’s loving ways!

I had a kennel for her in the living room where Chaps and I slept. I remember telling Grandma, “This kennel is worth a thousand dollars to me!” Emma would leap over your head and grab your glasses and any hair thing right off of our head. She was (and still is) wild!

OMG, Emma wore me plum out! Chaps was one happy guy when Mommy tucked her in for the night. She is so smart that the kennel only lasted about 2 weeks.

I transported her from BoBac Bassets in TX to KY in this kennel. Can you believe how cute she was?

She tripped over her ears and just turned our world up side down. Our Emma was the definition of puppy!

More real moments later……..Love, Cat, Chaps and they grow up so fast lovers, Emma!

P.S. When I picked Grandpa up from the Hospital yesterday, I heard him bragging about Emma to the nurse. He was telling the nurse how Emma is blind. He said that she is the smartest hound ever. The nurse was so interested and kept talking about Emma. It really made the check out easier. (((((((Emma)))))))))

P.P.S. on a sad note………..Mommy misses those eyes. It’s only natural.

I know my dear readers know what I mean. I feel it every time I look into Chaps’s eyes. My goodness. Who would not want their hound to see?

Who is the pretty girl? Emmers!

More seeing with your nose later. Sniff, sniff! Is that Chappers? LOL

Our Emma!

Oh little Emma….she is too cute and too sweet! And, I know what you mean…..how you long to look into those eyes. But Cat…….she has done so well because of YOU and Chaps. She is a very special girl with a very strong spirit. We love you all. I hope Grandpa is doing better….we’re sending him our love and drool!!!! It was 80 degrees here in Texas today, so the hounds gotta bath. ALL of them, including Bailey and Clancy. Weird weather for January, but then again it’s always weird in Texas.

Emma was and is a barrootiful girl. She was such a cute girl in her crate. I’m sure you must miss her beautiful eyes, luckily you have pictures. I hope to meet Miss Emma and the Mayor sometime soon.
Homer has terrible separation anxiety. When I went out this morning i came hiome to a big pee pee on the kitchen floor. I think I shall try that Rescue Remedy liquid on a treat. He loves to eat!!
    Love,

Joni – I knew that Homer would suffer from this. He loves you so much he does not want you to leave his sight. Oh these hounds just love us so much. Chaps is the same way.

He gets sick when I leave. I think we have some big baby boys!

    Hehehe

Emma sounds like she was and is a real stick of dynamite and still is. I think you need to take her on some Lily readings.

Also, I understand what you mean about Emma’s eyes, but Emma seems to treat it as just a little inconvenience. I would be willing to bet that her snooter and hearing is better than most Bassets, so her powers and abilities are far beyond those mortals and other dogs.

This is the first chance I’ve had to read Emma’s story. I have tears running down my face. Poor sweet girl. She is very fortunate to have you as her person. I love that optivisor you found (and managed to obtain!). What an amazing story.
