Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Emma Lovers! I have had so much traffic today on my blog that I think I crashed my portion of my host server. So, if you are here checking on Emma, welcome!
She has been trying to educate basset hound lovers for years on glaucoma by telling her story. I wanted to respond to an article in the Tally Ho about her breeder. You can find it under Important pages.

i just love emma. her face just draws me in…such wisdom and peace. give her a smoosh for me please. (the mayor too..can’t have the big guy jealous! oscar too!!)

Lois – I just learned that Emma’s sister has glaucoma and her brother. OMG! Can you imagine a litter of blind hounds? I would take both of them in a heart beat. I think Chaps could deal with a girl (Diva) but the boy (Moose) might be hard. The breeder, BoBac is really secret. I have leaned this through caring friends.

oh…the deaf puppy..turns out..it’s maybe only 1/2 deaf…seems a less then reputable vet was trying to soak her for numerous tests and vibrating collars and training etc. i went and calmed the owner and gave her the voice of reason (no need for the vibrating collar if the dog can hear). she said how do you know she can hear? i did the “crying puppy sound” test…i cried like a puppy and her puppy came roaring over to me. puppy hears some.
backyard breeder just happened to have a male and femlae who “just happened” to mate and “happened to have puppies” and he gave her a “deal” at $500! made me so mad!!!
puppy is cute and will be loved but already this woman is crewed by a poor breeder and a vet. not a good start.

I am furious with this article and I am writing my own. This is beyond reason that a breeder like this would be allowed to be a member of BHCA. So far, no one has chimed in from the BHCA. Where are you? Keep in mind that bassethoundtown will be here forever. Checking the facts……….
