Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Grandpa Lovers: Well, I guess you can say that Chaps is having a problem sharing grandpa with Oscar, or could it be the treats he brings with him? I will have to ponder that question.

Our boy is confirmed, heartworm free! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I am still waiting for an update from his neuter surgery. I am sure it will be here very soon. Remember I am in KY and Gabe is in TX!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Gabe in TX lovers: Well today is a big day for our Gabe in TX. Gabe is getting his neuter surgery and being completely vetted. Please, please drool and keep your paws crossed that Gabe is not heartworm positive. I just have a feeling he is fine.

This guy is going to have a great life with a wonderful forever family (as soon as we find them)! Thanks to Gabe’s foster family, Charlene, Glen, Audra, Mike and Jourdan for taking in this dear soul and rescuing him from a life of breeding in the mills.

I am quite sure most of my dear readers remember Homer! Who could forget our boy dumped at a KY shelter on Christmas Eve? Anyway, as can be expected, we do not know Homer’s birthday. So, his Mommy Joni selected today. Joni selected today because this was the birthday of Homer the 1st.
THIS IS HOMER THE 1st!
So, in honor of Homer the 1st and Homer the 2nd the Mayor had proclaimed March the third, Homer Brooks day in Basset Hound Town. This day and every March the third from hear to eternity will be Homer Brooks day in Basset Hound Town.
The Mayor would also like to present Homer the second with the key to
Basset Hound Town.
As you can see, Emma is helping. She is the Mayor’s assistant/first lasy.
Pay no attention to the kibble next to the key please.
Homer the 2nd is asking donations be made to his favorite charity in lieu of lavish presents.

I have thousands of pictures of Emma on film. I am working on sorting all of them. I have about the same amount of our Chaps. It is crazy to think that just 4 years ago I used film and not digital. I do pat myself on the back for being a prolific photographer. I cannot wait to share more film with you. This is Emma in my bedroom chair. Look at her velvet ears! So shiny!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Gabe lovers: Our Gabe is still in transition and getting ready for his vetting and neuter surgery on Wednesday. We are working with a wonderful lady from Western TX named Sheri who is helping us find Gabe a forever home. Who would not want this guy? You have to see these new pictures.
Just a reminder, Audra is Colby Chaps’s (Chaps’s son) Mom and Audra’s Mom and Dad are fostering Gabe whom Audra found on the street. Tada!

I cannot image being a dumped stray basset hound and this family finding me. Sometimes a hound wins the life lottery. He could still be stuck in that dank holding tank waiting for a lift to the nearest pound. Not our GABE! He is safely tucked into his foster home, waiting for his forever home.
We need to get him through Wednesday and recovery. I will keep everyone updated for sure!

I see so many of you out there. I try to comment but you have so many restrictions on your blog comments. I wind up not being able to tell you how I love your postings. So, if you have a basset hound blog I have probably seen it and tried to comment.
However the restrictions are too tight to comment! The last blog I just tried to comment on wanted me to sign up for an account on Blogger which I already have. I logged into blogger and then went back to the blog and I had to key in my blogger id which I did. Then I left my comment and then I had to key in the security numbers and then after I did that I it said my blogger password was not valid so then I said forget it! LOL
