Good Friday………..

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Good Friday Lovers: I never could figure out why they call it Good Friday. So of course I asked the all knowing Google and I found this:

WHY DO THEY CALL IT GOOD FRIDAY

I certainly can figure out why it is Good Friday in Basset Hound Town. Today Emma gets her stitches out! OMG – the past 2 weeks have seemed like 10 years. We have babied that back like no bodies business. Yesterday one of the gals called to confirm her appointment and she was so excited. She said that they could not wait to see Emma and they all missed her. So, it will be a fun time for Emma smelling all of those chins. She is such a little chin nipper!

3 more points of interest –

My Wisenheimer Wisdom is not working again and Chaps has been silenced on the home page. He had such good stuff to say, LOL. The powers that be are “working on it”!

When I was a little girl about this age:

I had a hen named HENNY MARY PENNY who died on Good Friday. I can still remember how sad I was and I did not think there was anything good about that friday.

So in honor of my hen, the newest residents of bassethoundtown now have names:

hennymarypenny

More good fridays later…….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

I’m so happy for Emma! She sure is lucky to have you. I think the tribute to your beloved hen is brilliant, what great names for the robins!

    Cat,
I sincerely hope you and the woofs have a good holiday weekend. You’re doing a wonderful job with Emma and we’re following her progress here in Sweden.

Glad påsk as we say around here.
    All the very best,
    Jon & the Björkwood woofs

It is a Good Friday indeed for Emma and you. Hopefully she will feel even better now that those nasty stitches are out. What will the Easter Bunny be bringing Chaps and Emma? Something really special I hope/ Have a Happy Easter in BHT.

    Joni –

You have a happy Easter as well. I think the bunny is bringing extra treats. We learned from the Physical Therapist today that we have to have her sitting and coming for treats to strengthen her rear end as a new exercise. How much fun for her! LOL

Hope Homer and his brudders have a big Easter dinner in store!

Jon – Thanks so much for the comments. My Mom and I watch our Emma like a hawk. The physical therapist was amazed at how well she was doing. We love knowing that Emma has friends in Sweden. How comforting.

Glad pask to you and yours as well!

    Hi Lora –

Thank you so much for commenting on my sweet, beloved hen. She was a real light in my life. I never go a Good Friday without thinking about her all day long. I think she gave me a lot of good advise while we were playing in the back yard. She would watch me, just like a Mother hen!

I cannot wait to unearth some pictures of her.

All I gotta do is make a casserole and take to my Mom’s house. Sister, brother in law and Mom are doing the rest. So I got out easy! Just got through making easter baskets for the nephews and nieces. With the bassets supervising of course. Hope everybody has a great Easter tomorrow!
