Breaking news – Literally!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and an egg “breaking” open lovers! Well, Emma is not the only one celebrating a birthday today in Basset Hound Town! One of Verna’s baby cracked open today. I knew it as soon as I looked out this morning. Daddy was a nervous wreck. I never see him around until the hatchlings start to come.
I had not updated Verna’s followers since I named the 3 eggs – Henny, Mary and Penny on Good Friday, but the next day she laid a 4th egg. I could not think up a name. Well, she has to be named Emma! They were both little first born!
Happy birthday baby Emma the new Robin! Looks like you will have brothers and sisters soon in your litter! LOL
I think we can do without the party hat! LOL

What a cute pretty little birdie. And how cool is it that they have Emma’s birthday! You won’t forget the birdie’s birthday will ya Cat? I hate to say this but lets hope that all 3 of the other eggs are good. If not then you’ll have to drop a name. Ha!

Oh, my gosh! HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA! I got so dang busy at work I didn’t make it into “town” so I missed Emma’s birthday!! you get a webcam set up on an eagle nest…mom, dad & 3 kids…who are big enough & starting to get active now. although sometimes with all that fluff you do have to resort to count heads to see who is who.
i saw mom, dad and all 3 eating before…very cool!!!!
