Just like the puddles that glisten at HOP – this check will shine just as bright! OK – my waxing poetic is lame! But not this check. It was so funny. When I opened it, I screamed to my Mom, “I got a check for 1000 dollars! Why?” She looked at me so funny and said, “That is Chaps’s check!” I had totally not put 2 and 2 together! LOL I thought someone out of the blue was sending me a check! LOL

My goodness, this check is well needed at our dear HOP! It is only because all of the Mayor’s residents voted for him day in and day out that he won! Thank you dear residents!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Homer Lovers: Oh I know there are many of those in Basset Hound Town. We loved our Homer. The poor boy that was dumped at a damp and dank KY high kill shelter on Christmas Eve, 2008.

Well Homer found his angel in Joni Brooks and she in true angel fashion sent him to the bridge today. Homer was suffering from bladder cancer and his old body was ready to go.

This is a picture I took of Homer, just sprung from the pound…

Homer had the best 4 months of his life when he met Joni. She was his Christmas angel and all of us helped him spend some quality time with her before his passing.

Homer went to the bridge knowing he was loved.

Please light a candle tonight in his honor. Here is a blog posting with a movie I did for Homer the day I picked him up. You might enjoy watching it again in his memory.

Howllo Fellow Hound and hungry baby robin lovers! Look at this picture I just took. You have to click on it to get the full cuteness. Verna (Mommy) is the busiest Mommy in Kentucky today. She is such a good Mommy. She just flew off to dig up more worms and this little one feel asleep with it’s mouth wide open. How adorable is this?

All 4 babies are doing great and eating worms like crazy. You can see up behind that retaining wall is a strip of grass that is filled with worms. It’s the perfect set up.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Howl Show Lovers! I could easily become addicted to Howl Radio! I just love it. 15 minutes went by like 2 seconds! It was so much fun. Thank you Candy and Bailey for howling in first. You guys sounded great. My phone, however, sounded a bit lame. I use a headset so I can maneuver the mouse. I need a new phone if I am going to compete with the big talk show guns!

Sandy, it was so much fun talking with you. I cannot wait to see that Steiff Teddy Bear. It will be a great addition to the fundraiser for House of Puddles.

This will be so much fun to await and see! The Teddy is 40 years old which would be quite a collector’s item. This Teddy has a rich history that you can read all about if you click the word Steiff

I will research how much this delicious bear is worth before we list it. I will have a minimum bid on this fine bear! Richard Steiff would want it that way!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and YouTube Lovers. I have been trying to feature some good Tubes lately, but my Lord, I cannot subject my readers to the current Tubes. I am not a fan of those who upload 10 to 15 short videos of puppies nursing. These are just ads to sell puppies. Like we need more of those.

It probably also has something to do with YouTube not allowing videos to upload with cool songs. I get the whole copyright thing but why not just make the video person advertise the song and link to ITunes? That way the song gets played to an entirely new audience and perhaps someone will buy the song. DUH………

I don’t mean you dear YouTube uploader! I find the good ones but any more it is getting very hard!

For some reason they still allow this one to remain. It is a classic Chaps and Emma video from the Spring of 2007. Ahhhhhhhh………Maybe another walk is in order soon. Enjoy it while you can. The YouTube POLICE might catch it soon.
