Can I get the heck out of here yet?
May 4th, 2009 - 10:10 am KY Time
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Paul update lovers: Well, today is the day. I just was told that I can have Paul at 4:00 today. The chances are slim to none that he will be collected.
From the pound we are driving to Harrison, OH to drop Paul off at Outlaw Basset Hound Rescue. I am very excited to see the facility.
I bet Paul will be as well!
Just 4 more hours Paul and we are outta there!
More looking for a forever home later…..Cat, Chaps, Emma and Paul……….
You are an angel Cat to Paul. Hre will be in store for alot of love and good fortune starting today.
Oh, I wish you could just run off with him right now. For some reason I just cry every time I think of this poor boy. I am so afraid that the “owners” will show up at the last moment. I’m glad the pound has cut an hour off the time. Just 3.5 hours to go now.
Thank you Cat for being Paul’s angel … I will be so relieved to hear that he is in the basset bus and headed across the river!
Paul will be going to the Outlaws today. Yeah! That dirt bag of a family isn’t going to get him. I’m sure of it. I’m sure this is a good thing for Paul. If they don’t care enough about him to come get him then I can’t imagine how he was treated by them. Be careful driving to the rescue and take lots of pictures! I’m really interested in their set up. I know someone in the Houston area who is talking about building a rescue facility. Keep us posted!
Thank you!!!! Lots of prayers went out for this sweet boy, I am so sad/happy for him all at once. I hope he finds the best forever home and his former family never has another pet again!
Only 2 more hours Paul! I wish I was closer because I would welcome you into my home with open arms! Good luch on your journey.
That sweet boy needs to be spoiled and given some good lovins–big time!!! And sounds like he’s well on his way! I am so happy that you have given him the chance for a new and better life, Cat. I cannot imagine what sorry individual would just abandon their pet like that….makes me cry and feel sick–just shameful.

Yay! Yay! Hooray!
I will have an honoray sip of wine (or lemonade!) at 4pm.
I’m so happy he’s out of there. Have a safe trip, and give him an extra hug and tummy rub from me.
Thanks so much for helping him.
It’s 3:30!! We want an update!!!!!
About 15 minutes to go. That pound is fortunate we don’t all live in Kentucky, or we’d have the place surrounded waiting for Paul’s release!
I’ll bet Cat’s already on her way down there to pick Paul up. I’ll bet he’s going to be happy to see her again.
Seven minutes and counting!!!

4pm by my clock. We need a tweet or something. I hope Paul is waddling his way to Cat’s vehicle right now.
I know! The suspense is killing us! We’ll have a long wait now. Because she’ll go straight to the rescue after she gets him. And who knows what paperwork she’ll have to do to get him out. I’m hoping no news is good news!
Awww so glad to here he is out of jail!
What kind of family did this poor sweet guy have????
Nothing but good things to come now.
(((hugs)))
Fabulous news. Paul, good things lie ahead for you. You are such a cutie. Cat, you are one very special gal!
Hugs,
Kip, Gus, Bonnie and Charlie Bear
Did I miss something? We still don’t know for certain that Cat has Paul do we? I sure hope so.
No, we still don’t know for certain. But I’m hoping that no news is good news and she’s busy getting him to Outlaw. I’m thinking that if the owner would have picked him up the shelter would have called her and we would have heard by now.
Let’s hope and pray Cat has him by now!!!!!! Cat you need to take a laptop with you…..your killing us with suspense! Can’t wait to hear and see photos of Paul and the Outlaws Rescue. Cat you are an angel again ‘Paul’s angel’!!!!
You are an Angel Cat for springing Paul out of jail and getting him to rescue. He will now get the love he deserves
Deb
Good point Cindy. If Cat didn’t have Paul, she would be home by now and telling us the sad story. I hadn’t thought of it that way.
