Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mayor Lovers: I sure know that we have a lot of those in basset hound town! I was just sitting at my desk and I looked over at our Mayor and thought to myself how lucky I am to see such beauty all day long at work. So, of course, I had to share the moment with my dear readers.

For real up close you must click on the pictures. OMG that first one will have you kissing the monitor…….

Look how white is face is getting………..

May you have a beautiful day and try not to nap on the job! LOL

The Mayor is truly a beauty! When does his phone book cover come out?

OK Cat, Hannah and I counted hearts last night, but there were a couple of places we weren’t sure about. Early in the book there are clovers with heart shaped leaves. We counted the main one but not all the ones on the ground. Anyway, our total for the book was 101, though we likely missed some.

I just want to reach in and grab his snoot and kiss it! Such a pretty sweet boy. Well, Oz and Harriet just got back from their check up. I had the once over since I’m adopting them. Oz came in to rescue with HW’s and he’s now officially negative! Harriet was negative when she came in but she’s still negative thanks to Heartgard. So, we got all our shots and now I’m in here registering their microchip. Then all I have to do is get them personal ID tags. They have the rescue tag on but after a year they’re not legible anymore. They clank up against the rabies tag and get all pitted. So their tag for the chip is plastic. I’m putting it between the new rabies tag and personal ID tag so the next ones won’t get messed up. I’ll quit rambling! I’m just so excited that they are officially mine now! Have a good weekend everybody!

Cat – looks like the mayor will need some space under your desk later this afternoon, as you may be getting some hefty storms later.
