The deorbit burn is complete, and Atlantis&the crew have begun their descent to California
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and NASA Lovers: I just signed up to follow NASA on Twitter. They are thrilled to have almost 60,00 followers. Wow, I just found this link. Live from NASA.
Atlantis will land in CA at 11:38am today.
Currently Atlantis is traveling at 17,300 miles per hour.
You must go to that Live Channel it is sooooooooooo pawsome. I remember the last time they landed in CA, the folks at BaRNI at Daphneyland heard the sonic booms. I what the hounds thought? Chaps would have been scared to death.
More loving Atlantis later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Rugby and Harriet would be under the bed. Jethro and Oz would sleep right through. It’s funny how very different they all are.
A few weeks ago a shuttle returned to Florida. I was watching a PGA tournament at the time. It was either Tiger Woods or the person he was golfing with that teed off and immediately there was a sonic boom from the shuttle re-entering the atmosphere … it looked like the golf ball caused the boom though. They had a good laugh about hitting such a great shot.
I hear them when ever the Shuttle lands In Florida,
The Cape is in my County and I watch it take off all the time. You can see it go up from my house.
Hugs Ken.
