Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Chaps as a baby lovers!

Can you believe it? Our Mayor was once a baby! A baby boy! I am so sad that I did not know my big guy as a baby but he is still the biggest baby ever! I call him my baby every day! These pictures were taken by his breeders almost nine years ago. They did not have very many, but the ones they did have I treasure!

Who knew he would grow up to be the Mayor of an entire town? Helping basset hounds far and wide find their place in the world. He sure found his!

More finding your place in the world later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma!

He’s too precious! Don’t worry about not knowing him when he was a baby. Puppies are not fun at times. You got him at the perfect age! I just want to reach in to those pictures and grab his smushy face and kiss, kiss, kiss…

    what s smush!!!

i didn’t know miss casey as a puppy (she arrived at 7.5 months from the spca), or mr cooper (5.5 yrs) or buster (1.5 yrs)…and the only one i’m honestly glad i didn’t was buster…i think it probably would have resulted in a steel cage wrestling match between the boy and me! he’s way to smart and stubborn! (they say chessies are known for their stubborn-ness but miss casey was a gentle soul and easy to live with compared to buster)

i’d be bald & more heavily medicated than i am now if he came as a baby!!!!

altho i am pretty damn sure the folks that bought him originally thought he was the prettiest damn puppy in that pet store (he still is damn cute looking…that is the only thing that save him as he creates chaos…like breaking thru pool railings, climbing on tables, etc!)

    Here’s Hannah’s comment: “Awwwwwwwwww! Isn’t he cute?!!!”

Chaps was a good looking pup, and a distinguished Mayor. Does he have any future political aspirations?

My gosh, Chaps is so impossibly CUTE!! Just look at those wrinkled ermine sockies (that’s what I call the ticking)–just like my Biggs’!! Thanks for sharing the Mayor’s baby pics–does he get all embarrassed when you do that? BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!

The camera still loves the Mayor, and you can see that the Mayor is a statesman not a politician and has possess great insight.

I also think Mayor Chaps could be on the cover of GQ.

The mayor was cute from the beginning and is now a distinguished version of himself.

Oh so cute!! Now Oh so Handsome. I just love basset pups. The long silkie ears, and the cuddly puppy smell.
