I hope she gets rescued from the pound! And I know that woman was trying her best but tuna? She must have cats. The dog was probably saying “where’s tha beef?”

I was born in Charleston, WV!! So happy she was rescued:)) However, any of my boys would have taken an arm off for that tuna in a New York minute;) Happy dance the pupcake is safe!

What a great story with a happy ending, but I am still worried about this little girl.

what a lucky pupster! and now famous too!!!

geez…thats something my coop would do…he’s run thru a brick wall to get after something…especially a groundhog! and nothing…tuna, filet mignon, nuffin, would deter him from the hoggie!…he wouldn’t have come out of the pipe until the hog was dead…

buster’s just discovered bunnies…but since he is afraid of wildlife, and nature (he is after all a staten island/nyc urban boy) …i’m not sure exactly what he wants to do with them…i’m sure if he came nose to nose with one of them i think it would be a contest to see who would have cardiac arrest first the bunny or him! he honestly doesn’t like woods or hiking in the great wilds…the boy needs his concrete.

oh well glad she is safe.

    Lois,

It sounds like Buster is an indoor Basset who enjoys the comforts of homelife. Like a comfortable chair, something that always smells good, food and treats at his convenience.

Sophie would never have followed that raccoon anywhere. There is a cast iron planter on our porch that has an iron bunny holding the flower pot. Sophie still crouches down and trembles every time she sees that thing.

Is there any report on the pup in the story if her owners came to get her?

You know what? I don’t know, but I thought from what I read that they knew who she owned. I will check into it. She sure needs care. What a brave hound she is!

buster enjoys walking the streets of urban areas and suburbia…and loves baking in the sun but the boy needs noise…cars, horns, traffic..people…etc. birds, leaves, quiet…that stuff doesn’t count!

i took him camping to the wilds of nh…i’ve got coop charging ahead and buster dragging behind me…tail between his legs looking like i’m taking him to the death chamber…people were like “what’s wrong with him?” i’m like…”he’s urban.”

he walks the streets and he’s into strollers, stops to chat with folks etc…on trails he’s looking to ride on your shoulders….damn fool needs prozac.

    what can i say…he’s a city boy.
