Words I am sure I will never hear again in my life, but it was good while it lasted…..

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and words I will never hear again in my life lovers:

“I need to see your ID.”

I had just ordered a glass of wine at lunch as these words left the waiter’s mouth. My sister and I had to show our IDs, (she is 2 years younger than me and I turned 52 today). My jaw hit the table as I glanced up at him like he hung the moon!

“We have to ask everyone for their ID. PF Changs is under investigation for serving alcohol to minors. Not at this resturant but in some other state.”

OK – Shut up and let me have my moment!

We all had a good laugh and I told him it was my birthday and I was 52. OK – this is the good part. He said,

“I would have never guessed you were 52, you look younger”.

OK – You don’t have to shut up now! LOL

Then, when I started to think about it, I realized this was a great way to get tips as well. Too bad I was not paying for the meal or the tip!

Like I said, I will never here those words uttered again unless I go back to PF Changs or find a time machine.

More ROFLMBO later……Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

P.S. these are my dining partners, Sis and nephew

Your sister and nephew look so cool. And how cool is that water fall in the background!? Is that for real or a picture? It looks real. We have a place in Galveston (that hasn’t come back from the storm yet but is on the way) called Waterwall. A wall of water comes down one side of the restaurant in the outside seating area. Kind of neat but it’s not as pretty as this. They serve gormet burgers. Really good eatin.

Hey Cindy – My sis and my nephew are very cool. We have a great time together. That water fall is in a place called the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati. My sisters and I have visited since we were toddlers. Just fantastic.

    This is from their website……..

Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park is itself architecturally significant, having been built in 1933 at the height of the charming Art Deco era. But it’s what inside those aluminum and glass walls that make Krohn Conservatory truly special.

You’d have to travel a good distance from Cincinnati to visit a rainforest and a desert or come to Krohn Conservatory, Cincinnati Parks’ nationally recognized showcase of more than 3,500 plant species from around the world.

Our “world” changes throughout the year with special exhibits and programs, including the ever-popular springtime “Butterfly Show,” where thousands of butterflies are let loose in a specially-themed garden. But you can always visit the rainforest waterfall and exotic plants on permanent display in the Palm, Tropical, Desert and Orchid houses.

    Cathy,

I have NO DOUBT you will hear those words again! People that are owned by a Basset are like Peter Pan. They never grow up.

Oh wow! Really enjoyed the description. Sounds like a fascinating place to eat. It’s so cool when you can go out to eat and have this type of entertainment. We have a restraunt down this way that’s called “The Rainforest”. But I really doubt they have the butterflies and neat stuff that this one does. I think ours has a lot of fake stuff in it too. Thanks for the education!
