Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and hating that it is too muggy lovers….

I know that I have shown similar pictures of our Mayor before. However, this one is of him rebelling this morning.

It was muggy, muggy, muggy and the Mayor was mad. He usually has his usual morning “constitution” at this time. Kind of like clock work. However, this morning when he stuck his head out of the door. I myself could feel a rush of hot air come in. So what does our Mayor do?

Let all of the AC outside. Maybe he thinks he is cooling down his potty area????

I guess he is!

Oh, Chappers………

More too hot to potty later……..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

This reminds me of a sitation I had today with Jethro and Harriet. A little background…they hate each other. Anyway, Jethro was coming out the door the same time Harriet wanted in. So, Jethro sticks his head out and Harriet freaks and starts growling and barking. So Jethro just stands there with his head out the doggie door letting all the AC out listening to Harriet complain and wouldn’t move. I had to go over there and grab Harriet and hold her so that Jethro could get out. Then the little witch runs inside. She has no doggie door etiquette!

Cindy – I forgot to say that the Mayor was not letting Emma out! She was so mad. She started messing with his haunches and he got up and let her out. Heat does not bother her! LOL

Chaps has no doggie door etiquette either! Jethro is like Chaps when it comes to heat. And down here it’s been in the 90’s and 100’s for a month and a 1/2. We’ll all go outside and Jethro just sits in the house looking at us like we are nuts. He’s content to sit in here all alone until he smells the pit going. Then he has to come out and check things out. Ha!

I can just picture the scene with Jethro and Harriet. I will think of that picture when anyone talks to me about how stubborn Bassets can be.

I do think you are both missing the point about the AC. Your Bassets are being generous and considerate they are attempting to share their cool comfort with the outside world.

By the way, how’s this for stupid!

A friend of mine’s (whose husband I don’t like (he’s one of these guys that says “get me a beer hun”)) husband who works in a factory by the furnaces hates the heat and warm weather. When they purchased their home, he painted all the windows shut. He like AC all year around. He keeps their thermostat at 64-65 degrees. The children always have colds and ear aches, and she says that during the summer the electric bill is more than the mortgage. If they ever want to sell the house, what a problem the windows will be.

OMG! Is he insane? I’m sorry but that is very stupid. I’m very frugal and it hasn’t always been by choice. For one, I’d freeze my buns in that temp! Heck, 74 is pretty darn cool to me but I keep my house at 76 when hubby is at home and 79 or 80 when he’s not. This guy should move to Alaska! I can’t believe that even tho it’s affecting his kids he’s still not able to bend. That’s just way too selfish if you ask me.
