OK – we need to pick a picture of the Mayor!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hounds and Senior Hounds Abound lovers: The deadline to submit a photo of your favorite Sr. Hound for the 2010 SHB calendar is quickly approaching. It is actually Monday, August the 31st!
Chaps is going to enter again and try his luck at being featured for a month.

What a hard choice, between each of those adorable pictures! I love them all, but if I absolutely had to choose, I’d probably go with the second one, just because it makes me want to plant a smooch on that big beautiful snooter. Or maybe the 3rd one. Of course, I’d be perfectly content staring at his cute butt for a month too.

Yup — I agree w/ Marilyn. More hound to admire in the close-ups. I vote #2 (of course, I’d also vote for the butt shot — cause he has one cute tushie).
Yeah, I have to agree with #2. But 3 would be great for October with the pumpkin and all. The pink leaves are just beautiful. Oh, and so is the Mayor’s butt!
I agree with all above, my first thought was the closeup! But, I do love them all. You can see his sweet personality in the closeup!
I like number 3 photo myself. But the Mayor looks great in all of them, even the “tail end”
Samantha chose #2; she says the Mayor is looking out to his adoring citizenry with his wayyyy to precious face. I think Samantha may be smitten, but she is far to young to be thinking about boys!

Chaps is so regal in all the photos and each one makes a special stateement especially the butt shot!!! With all that my choice goes with the najority #2….Can’t believe our boy is a Senior…tell Chaps age is just a number!!!

I love them all. Number one is my choice for the calendar tho. He looks so regal. Number two is more a glamour shot.

Three votes for #1 at from our family. (me, Hannah and Allan). We love the regalness of how the Mayor is sitting and the beauty of the red leaves providing the royal carpet. Definitely the first one. (can Nell and Sophie vote?) 😉

OK! We are getting some good data here to tally up. Also, I have some votes on Facebook and twitter which I need to count. I will put the totals up tomorrow or later tonight.
Last year our Mayor did not make the cut! I know, how can that be? hehe
I would love to see him in his birthday month which is October. I am going to try and beg for that if he wins. However, if there is a hound in a costume for Halloween and that hound wins a month, they will probably put that one in October!
We will have to wait and see! The Mayor is going to be nine years old this Oct!

Well, I’m going to vote for the mayor when the time comes. I didn’t vote last year but I was a little new to all this at the time. Now that I am seeing what goes on with these senior rescues I want to start helping when I can. And what better way to help when your also helping a handsome hound to get on a calendar!

#1 is the best picture overall, I would vote for it. #2 is good because of the closeup though.
There are no Twitter votes and Face books have come over here so I will tally these tomorrow. The deadline is midnight. I will not wait that long. I will see what happens until I go to bed.

He is just so cute it is hard to pick. I swear I just cannot stop looking at him. Emma is under her blankee so I can’t see her. We have the first little chill in the air this morning and our girl loves hers some blankees! hehe

It’s a tough choice, but I think photo #2 shows how stately and noble the Mayor is. Truth be told, the Mayor never takes a bad picture.
