I had to laugh this morning…….

August 31st, 2009 - 10:10 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and laughing in the morning lovers: This morning I was cleaning up the kitchen and Chaps was in his usual spot, preening and watching me clean. I tell you what, looking at that boy makes cleaning the kitchen much easier. Anyway, I had the kid’s little potato container sitting on the counter and the thought crossed my simple mind…..”I wonder how many of those tiny red potato bits my boy has eaten in his life?” Now that’s some deep thinking to start the day off with!

Since Emma is allergic to most everything – included Chaps drool, she can’t have many treats. She tolerates potatoes well and they both love them. I just cut them into little bite size pieces and keep them in the fridge.

More deep thoughts later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

I hate the thought that Our Emma is denied anything.

They are just too funny! You just can’t help to laugh at a basset. They’re always making some kind of face or giving you “the look”. And by the way, the mayor is supervising.

    Cat,

How is Ronald the VMI Cadet doing? We need to start on his gift basket, so he knows that Emma, Chaps, Slinky and the rest of us are thinking of him. I am sure he needs cookies for comfort. Please post his address. Slinky promises not to send anything that would embarrass him or get him into trouble.

    Cat,

Those potatoes look good. What’s the recipe?
Maybe Mr. Dudley Dopits and Ms. Gracie O’Malley may like some?

Robert! I just buy those little red potatoes with the very thin red skin. I just chop them and put them in water. It is a tasty little treat. You can also bake them in the oven with nothing and they crisp up. The hounds love them. Let me know! hehe

Hey BJ! I am not sure about our Romeo yet. I get to spend about 7 days with him coming up in September. Then about 10 days in November. I am soooooooo excited. I will learn so much about the big guy. I cannot believe that my sister has not sent any update pics. I better send her an angry e-mail right now!

    hehe
