Up, Up, Update on Big Joey!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and up, up, and away with Big Joey Lovers! Today is a big day for a big guy. Mr. Big Joey has waited far too long for something good to happen but wait no more my darling.
Big Joey is going to get his wings today and be a co-pilot on a small aircraft from Ashland, KY to Allentown, PA. Wow that is going to save a lot of time driving. Steve, (the guy that Big Joey loves at the shelter) is driving him to Ashland today to catch is flight. Suzanne will meet him at the airport.
Suzanne of Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue has secured Joey a place on board with a pilot she knows. I sure hope she takes pictures so we can see Big Joey getting off of the plane.
I do have a bit a bad news to report. Big Joey is heart worm positive and will need a good rest when he gets to New Jersey. A lot of folks have worked really hard to get him there.

Yeah for Big Joey! I have to get caught up on this cutie. I have been absent from BHT for a couple weeks. We will be sending drool for Big Joey to get rid of those yuckey heartworms.

How exciting! I hope we get pics too. Joey will be super fine with his heartworm treatments. They have that down to a science now. I had 6 fosters go through it without a problem. The rescue will take great care of him and is familiar with how to handle the treatments and after care. Good luck sweet Joey!!!

He will get the royal treatment at the Ashland Airport too; it is actually in Greenup Co. about 10 minutes from parents and I know the folks there.
