Today, 9-20-09, is the last Sunday of the Summer…
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and saying good bye to Summer Sunday Lovers! Here in Basset Hound Town we always look forward to the end of Summer. The fall is our favorite time of year. However, we have been way blessed with a wonderful Summer full of fun.
Today, on our last Sunday of Summer we are enjoying the rain. It is a nice rain with no thunder or lightening. We just laid grass seed on the lawn and we could have not asked for a better way to have it watered.
So, here are a few pictures of our last Sunday of Summer! I actually tried to capture the rain falling in my back yard.
Yesterday the kids got a bath and today I decided to give my BHV a bath! hehehe
Here is Chaps watching me take pictures. You can see Emma in the background on the office bed.
I love that door screen. The kids can just come and go without the hassle of the dog door. Plus it saves Emma’s back from that jump she makes.
Here is how Chaps enjoys his last Sunday of Summer. He would rather go on a walk, but he is fine as long as he can just be with Emma and I.
Here is hoping you enjoy your last Sunday of the Summer just as much as we do.
More enjoying later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
today it’s a beautiful fall day here in jersey land! the boys and i are going for a hike…we are in training for the camping expedition…this way none of us dies from exertion while hiking and poor buster can get reaclamated with nature so he doesn’t have a meltdown (okay as much of one). then it will be a little quality time for them in the doggie park as coop has a super annoying new squeaky toy to break in.
not as productive as your day but hey that’s okay!
say hi to everyone for us.
What a gorgeous weekend it was in southeastern PA! Yesterday Philip, the boys and I all went to Tristate Basset Hound Rescue’s picnic in lovely Riverview Park on the Delaware River in Pennsville, NJ. What a wonderful time we had! I hope we raised lots of moolah for the houndies–I know I did my share of spending;) Great food, lots of people and bassets, contests, baked goodies and great raffle items. Ahhh, I love autumn–we had our first fire of the season last night!

I love a good thunderstorm because I love to read a murder mystery during thunderstorms.
I was surprised at something, I thought it was always summer and sunshine in Basset Hound Town.
