The Hounds are not Happy!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and wondering why the hounds are not happy lovers! Well, today I am in charge of my sister’s most treasured loved ones. Her son and her dogs. Her and her dear hubby are going away for a few days and therefore, the hounds are not happy. My Mom will be in charge of my most treasured loved ones…..Chaps and Emma!
I will be coming back and forth because my sweet nephew is in school all day, so it’s not as bad as it sounds dear hounds!
So, this morning I was cleaning the kitchen and this is what I saw. A real sad sack….
Oh Burger Boy don’t worry. Mommy be home tomorrow to check on you and Grandma….

They are so funny! They always have to call you out on “HOUND ABUSE!” Shame on you Cat!
That pictures shows that the Mayor feels “put out”! I have to say that most Basset Hounds I know don’t have poker faces. You know how they feel about things!
I think, some special treats, like some french fries, will be necessary to help our Mayor and Our Emma cope.
“Sad sack” is right. Reminds me of an old line from Coach (with Coach referring to Luther’s Basset Hound): “that’s not a dog, that’s the bag the dog came in”.
Poor Mayor. Poor Emma. Such a trial for them to stay home with Grandma!
