Goodbye September…..You flew by

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and September Lovers: Wow, was it just us or did September fly by? September is such a pretty month in Kentucky. This year it was really rainy which means we should have a fantastic fall. Lots of color. Here is a picture I took of Emma when she could still see. She is walking under a beautiful Japanese Maple which had turned bright red. I call it Chloe’s tree because she loved it so much.

What a great picture……

Math fact about September…..from Wikipedia

September begins on the same day of the week as December every year, because there are 91 days separating September and December, which is a multiple of seven (the amount of days in the week).

September’s flower is the forget me not!

And September birthstone is the sapphire which means clear thinking.

I did not know that about September and December. This website can be soooo informative.

I was surprised that it snows in Kentucky. I always think of Kentucky as a southern state where it’s warm most of the time.

There are a few Japanese Maples around town, and they are so beautiful. They always look like graceful dancers to me.

With October starting tomorrow, what do you, Chaps, Emma, Romeo, etc. have planned for Halloween? I can’t see Emma or the Mayor giving away treats.

Maureen you are so funny. I sure wish that I lived in an area that was pretty this time of year. Of course if we had a more variety of plants and trees in our area it might be. Fall and spring is when I’d really love to do some traveling to see what the rest of the U.S. looks like and all it’s beauty. Some day…
