Howllo fellow Bounders lovers! this just in from Wen of Sr. Hounds Abound!
First off! WOW! The Bounders did well by your efforts at getting votes! I was so not expecting the numbers to be so high because of the economy, but we did well. A little over 5200.00 came in to help the Bounders get through the year!
I thank you from deep within my heart. The generosity of Basset folk never ceases to amaze me.
So, without further delay.
This is the standings. The first column is the hounds name, of course. the second is the amount of votes each hound got and the third is their ranking. The ones in red are the top twelve.
That would be, from 1st to 12th, Abby Fuller, Moses, Buttons, Elder Clara, Mayor Chaps, Lizzie, Buttermilk, Molly Moen, Charlie, Longshot, Maggie and Daisy Mae.
If the slaves of these hounds will email me, I need from Abby, only one month, as she gets first choice, Moses 2 months, and everyone else, please send me 3 months of your choice for the placement of you hound in the calendar.

Cat, I went to bed so I’m so sorry that I didn’t answer your last comment. I wouldn’t have know “for sure” if he got a month or not but I was hoping real hard that the counts right after 9:00 were correct and it looks like they were! Now, we just have to cross our fingers that Chaps can have his birthday month!!! Us here in the Doyle household have crossed everything. Ha! Good luck on your month Chaps and we’re so very glad that you got on the calendar! We just may have to buy one this year. And I’m soooo happy for Wendie that they did really good despite the economy. This was a win, win situation for us all!!! Can’t wait to hear what month our Mayor gets!

The Mayor has a really suave smile on his face. I think he knew he would win.
I plan to order some of these calendars for Christmas presents.

Hey Cindy – I figured you went to bed. I was thinking that Chaps was wishing I would go to bed instead of pacing the floors and sticking a camera in his face.
I have a funny feeling that he is going to get October, but really, any month is fine. I can deal! LOL!
Yay! Wow the votes did come in quickley. We will order our calenders soon, can’t to see Chap’s Mug and Buttermilk’s beautiful face!
Way to go Handsome…. I think it is so awsome to see how the votes went. I too have noticed and have been on the receiving end of the basset and their slaves love, it always brings tears to the eyes and a smile to the lips. Way to go everyone.
Congrats Chaps (and Cat). I’m not being ungrateful – but Chaps, don’t let them try to hang you with one of those short months, like February. A handsome hound like you deserves a month with all 31 days. All those hounds are adorable, but how many hold public office???
