Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and little piggy lovers! OMG! I saw this on the internet and I just had to laugh! Not at the hound, but with the hound! I love calling my kids little piggies! From the time I was able to talk, I talked about pigs. Anyway, here is the cute costume!

I wonder if hounds really like to wear costumes?
Maureen, mine hate it but if it is soft like a coat, they don’t mind at all. This pig outfit looks like a fleece coat. I just love it!

When I get out costumes or even some jackets and hats that I have for my dogs they all come running. Everybody wants theirs on first. But…I think the reason why is because when they dress up we always go somewhere. So they’re probably more excited about going somewhere than getting the gear on. It’s so hard to find costumes for bassets that fit right so I have made almost all of mine. I’m not a seamstress that’s for sure so some of their costumes fit right and some don’t. I don’t leave them on long if they don’t fit right. Just long enough to get in the costume contest then I take them off. Now if they’re comfortable and don’t mind I’ll leave them on for a while. Anyway, just my 2 cents on doggie clothes.
Don’t you think the bassets just humor us when they wear these costumes? I mean they already wear a basset hound suit and that really seems to be a wrinkly, amusing, silky ears, smooshy body type of suit. And it fits them perfectly! No worry about it being too small!
That said, the pig suit really is hilarious on a basset hound.
