Take a stroll through town with the hounds!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and walking through the town lovers……
We took a really nice stroll today through basset hound town. It was just beautiful today. We just love the park and today we loved it again!
One thing we always try to do is visit this very special tree. I should have taken a picture of the entire tree, but I fell down on the job! This tree is dedicated to a man named Harold J. Wehrle.
The person who loves Harold J. Wehrle always decorates the tree. Now it is decorated with everything Halloween related. I googled Harold, but I could not find anything. He appears to have been in the Canine Corps. We always love to pay our respects.
Then we moved on down the park lane finding place after place to take wonderful pictures! Just stunning!
Hi Grandma! Emma loves, “looking” at her Grandma!
Now for the artsy shot! This should win a contest, if I don’t say so myself!
Now we are leaving the park and Chaps spots a West Highland White Terrier. Oddly enough it was walking up Highland Ave. Look how hard Chaps is pulling on his harness! I can barely hold him. I had to crack up over his rear end. He is really digging in!
“Mommy, is that a dog?”
Ah, time for a dinner and a nap! Look how good Emma does on steps now. She is such a joy. Just a note, I am freaking out. Where did her tail go in this picture? I did nothing to alter any of the pictures beyond sharpening. This is weird!
More sharing joy later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Emma does look like she handles the steps really well now. I do like the photo of Mayor wanting to greet his new friend the Highland Terrier, he is cute too.
I loved the arty shot of Chaps and the colored leaves.
That truly is a Kodak moment….the picture is worth a thousand words! Fall is my favorite season and makes me homesick for good old KY and all the beautiful colors. What a great town!!!!
When Slinky and I come for a visit to Basset Hound Town, we want to visit this landmark, and we especially want to visit and sit on the Lily and Chloe bench.
I think Emma’s tail is sticking straight out and disappears with the coloring of her rump. Beautiful pics, Cat ((especially the butt pics – LOL
I agree with Cindy. Emma’s tail is perpendicular to the plane of the camera so it records no real information about the tail. If it were just a small angle off perpendicular you would see it.
