Lap Top vs “Lap Top”…..

December 3rd, 2009 - 8:08 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Lap Top Lovers: Well, I can now say I am one of those! As you can see my Lap Top is still on it’s reality show. Yesterday a fine FedEX guy showed up right on schedule. It was not my usual guy!!!

Ah, a Lap Top and a smile, what a way to start the day! I should have taken a picture of the fog on my front door from all of the pressing my nose against it.

The Mayor had to oversee the process of opening his new office….

Here is the box it comes in. I thought you might find it interesting how Apple packs this item. It comes in a small, thick, card board suitcase thing that has a foam lining.

Then, I turned off the lights to get this picture and the Mayor fell asleep.

Chaps thinks that he is the only Lap Top that Mommy needs. Come on Mommy, quit staring at those funny lights and lets cuddle!

Chaps is supervising! Geez. Ok, I’m jealous! My PC came over on the Mayflower but it’s still trucking along. So, I’m looking at cars now. I have a 1998 Honda Civic that doesn’t hold 4 dogs very well. I have to get a Honda since my hubby is a Honda mechanic so I’m torn between the Element and the CRV. I like the luxury of the CRV and would get the EX-L cuz I need leather seats with the dogs. But the element is very dog friendly (AND CHEAPER!) but not as luxurious. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cat, enjoy that PC and let me know how you like it. I don’t use apple but my next PC will be a lap top that’s for sure. Good luck with setting everything up. I know that’ll be a BIG job!

Cindy – As you know, I have the Element and I find it almost too small for 2 dogs unless you take out one of the back seats. I have to go to Honda ever time I want it in or out because it is too heavy for me to lift.

Also in my year 2003, there are HORRIBLE blind spots all over the vehicle. They may have fixed all of these problems but I would suggest you test drive an Element on several occasions. If you lived closer I would loan you mind for the weekend.

I have never been in a CRV but I bet they are nice.

This lap top was certainly not in the budget this year. I actually had a plan to buy it exactly one year from when I did.

My Tech guy said it would take about 10 hours to transfer all of my basset crap, etc. over. I hope he can come today or tomorrow. I want to play with my new toy! hehehe

As for Chaps, well all know the he would make the BEST laptop. Cat, I would suggest that you start calling it a notebook, that my quiet the waters.

As for computers, I remember “mag cards”, memory typewriters, wordprocessors like Lanier, Wang, AB Dick, and when computers came along how we oooohed and ahhhhhed at a 486.

As for your car situation Cindy, Slinky has informed me on several occassions that she prefers an Astin-Martin, Deusenberg, but she will settle for a Delorion(?). Slinky likes to put on the dog!

Jethro, I am afraid Slinky does not park her car for every Basset she meets.
